The Dependency In America Rant

Americans have historically been known and even defined by such characteristics and traits as rugged individualism, self-reliance, risk-taking, and a “Get-R-Done” attitude. As a people we have always been imbued with a boundless sense of optimism, pride, and an overwhelming measure of self-confidence. We have had, like no other people on the planet, an absolute belief that the future is filled with unrivalled opportunity for those who took advantage of the blessings with which our nation has been endowed. Endless possibilities could be found and realized here and no dream need be left unfulfilled. In addition, we have always been extremely pragmatic and practical in all of our undertakings and have been imbued with a supreme sense of hopefulness. Show us an obstacle, and we’ll find a way to go around it, over it, under it, or right through it to accomplish any given goal or end. Behind all of the above traits lay an overwhelming sense of glorious independence and a belief that we are in charge of and responsible for our own destiny and future.


We have become so steeped in our sense of independence that we have come to despise and abhor anything remotely resembling or smacking of dependence for that condition wreaks of weakness and failure which Americans are just not familiar with. Dependency is seen as a character flaw which must be rectified if we desire to live lives that are satisfying, productive, and meaningful. Dependence, most of us have been taught, means that one must rely on others in order to achieve what we perceive to be our goals, dreams, and aspirations. It means that our future is not in our own hands but rather rests with others. Additionally, dependence necessarily means a lack of freedom to do what we feel is in our own self-interest and to accomplish what we deem necessary and fulfilling in our lives. The more independent we become, the more complete we are as individuals and as we give up our independence the less fulfilling and satisfying our lives become.


Can any of us, however, achieve complete and utter independence in our highly technical, complex, and hectic 21st Century existence? Of course not and this is for the best. Infants and children, for example, by definition are dependent on parents and older family members to provide for their material and other needs. It must be so for throughout the history of civilization it has been the duty of the older generations to prepare the “young-uns” to become active, contributing members of society. They must be taught the requisite survival skills whether it be in the era of hunting and gathering or in the era of computers and rocket science. The young are and must be dependent on their elders whether in the human or animal kingdoms. We are, obviously, not born out of whole cloth but must be shaped and molded so that at some future point the young become the leaders and providers who will guide and shape those behind them to one day take their place in society. If raised properly, the youngsters as they mature into adults will naturally seek their independence, live their own lives, and make their own decisions. Until that point, however, dependence is a natural condition.


In addition, the complexities of life itself force us to depend on others in a myriad of ways. We live in a highly specialized society that by definition precludes any of us from becoming one hundred percent, totally independent and self-sustaining. Most of us today cannot, for example, grow our own food or slaughter animals for meat. We must rely on others who specialize in these endeavors to do so. Most folks today cannot repair their own vehicles or self-diagnose serious illness but rather rely on the talents of highly trained and skilled others. The vast majority of us cannot build our own domiciles or replace or repair faulty wiring. How many of us can make our own foot-gear or other articles of clothing? It’s probably safe to say that very few amongst us can build, repair, or fly commercial airliners that have become such a familiar and necessary part of our lives. How many of us have the skill and knowledge to install or fix a broken boiler in the middle of a record-setting winter or do the same with an air conditioner when the temperature hovers at just under one hundred degrees? We are, then, obviously dependent on others in many ways just to get through an ordinary day and to deny this aspect of our existence is to blind oneself to life’s realities and necessities. The types of dependence thus far enumerated are normal, natural, and beneficial. They promote and foster human interaction and engagement, provide huge numbers of Americans with employment and profit, and are a mainstay of our Free Market Capitalist economic system. They are nothing but positive.


The dependency that must be feared, avoided, and destroyed at all costs and by any and all means is anything but beneficial or benign and that is a growing and overwhelming dependence on government to provide our every want and need from cradle to grave! This flies in the face of our history, traditions, and institutions that made us the freest, most opportunity-laden nation in the history of the planet. In no small part, our historic lack of dependence on government has made the United States the shining beacon it has become. It is this lack of dependence on government that has made America the wealthiest nation in the history of nations and changing the relationship between the governed and those who govern will send our country crashing to its knees and will constitute a fall from which we can never recover! The men who founded this great nation knew full-well that to maintain freedom, government must be extremely limited in scope, size, and power. After all, they had lived under a tyrannical system where freedom and liberty simply did not exist. They experienced first hand and up close the ravages imposed on a populace by an all-powerful, all-encompassing centralized system of government.


This is precisely why the Constitution they crafted limited and severely restricted the powers given to the Federal Government. If you haven’t read it in a while, or perhaps not at all, then do so. It’s worth the effort. Pay special attention to the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to that amazing document. It is replete with restrictions on the powers of our government and lays out in the clearest and most unambiguous language what the government CANNOT do to us! At the time, this was truly radical and totally unheard of. To limit the power of government had never been seriously suggested or attempted at least not out loud in front of God and everybody else. To even suggest such a course of action was tantamount to a death sentence as the signatories to the Declaration of Independence were all too aware. They really did pledge their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to the cause of independence and they meant every word of it! They knew that an all-powerful, all-consuming centralized government meant the utter and absolute destruction of any kind of freedom or liberty. They understood that government by its very nature would always garner more and more power unto itself at the expense and to the regret of the citizenry. It had been so for thousands upon thousands of years and those great men of vision and character were determined that it wouldn’t happen in the United States.


If those long dead “white guys” could but see what has happened to their creation over the centuries, they would collectively demand a second American Revolution for our government has become at least as tyrannical and intrusive as that of King George all those years ago. It seems that in the 21st Century, there is virtually no aspect of our lives that is not in some way touched, controlled, or affected by the heavy and arbitrary hand of Big Brother. This is not accidental or caused by mere happenstance. This is the result of a perniciously planned, well thought out, and brutally implemented policy of the Far Left in our nation and has been going on since at least the 1960’s. The Far Left in America, the LFE (Liberal Fucking Elite), wants an all-powerful, omnipotent centralized government that only they, of course, will control. They view the citizenry as no more than unthinking, witless, and mindless boobs who must be led and controlled by their “betters.” We obviously are not capable or intelligent enough to make decisions and adopt courses of action that will move America forward.


We do not possess the requisite vision or enlightened attitudes to qualify us to navigate our country through turbulent and stormy seas. We must leave such weighty matters to those on the Far Left who don’t merely want to govern but desire nothing less than to rule as did the monarchs of yore. In their arrogant, condescending, and paternalistic attitude we are the children to be led around by the nose and told what to do, how to do it, and when and why to do it! We, you see, are not capable of making reasonable and rational decisions as to how to run the country or even, for that matter, our own lives and those of our children. Only the Anointed Ones, the Chosen, possess the wisdom and intellect to do that! This kind of extreme hubris is obviously brought on by some form of mental illness or instability and it might make for an interesting seminar topic or round table discussion were it not for the fact that these Bastards are destroying America as historically envisioned and currently constituted!


Yes, yes, I know. I seem to be stuck somewhere between extreme paranoia and out of control hysteria! Is it really possible that those on the Far Left actually want and demand to destroy all that has made the United States the greatest nation in the history of the world? Can it actually be that the saboteurs want to see an America that is weaker and less influential on the world stage? Can it really be that many of our own citizens actually believe that we are no better – and probably worse – than the cruelest of regimes like Communist China, Nazi Germany, or nations controlled by Sharia Law? Sadly, even tragically, these people do exist and have been very patient and effective in implementing their nefarious plans and machinations. Their collective goal is the very destruction of the United States and all it has historically come to represent and stand for. To them we are no better than the Evil Empire identified by Ronald Reagan or the Axis of Evil that old “W” spoke about so forcefully and eloquently!


They want to turn America into but one more failed Socialist state whose citizens will be literally dependent on government for everything in their lives. You name it and those on the Far Left want us to come crawling, begging, and groveling for our hand-outs from Big Brother! They are all about power and control and absolutely nothing else. If you don’t think so, just take the blinders off and open you eyes really wide. Who, for example, are some of the Socialist-in-Chief’s most powerful advisors? That’s right, his various “Czars” who are elected and approved by no one and accountable only to him. They serve at his pleasure and there’s not one damned thing we can do about it! Government, if you recall, is supposed to be accountable to us and not the other way around! His wife, the First Queen, wants to dictate the types of food we can and can’t consume from salt to trans-fats to red meat and to anything else She Who Must Be Obeyed deems dangerous to our health and well-being. Hey, Michelle Baby, I got a request. Keep your grubby mitts off my burger and fries and I won’t make fun of that bogus garden of yours! How about it?



Just in case it has escaped you, the cost of oil and gas are approaching levels that can only be described as freedom-killing. Does this bother old Barry and the Boys even slightly? Nope, for this is exactly what they want and desire to succeed in making Americans completely dependent on government. The President’s Secretary of Energy stated recently that he and the administration were not at all interested in reducing our nation’s energy costs but rather want to wean us off of oil altogether so we will be forced to go to unreliable and as yet unproven “alternative” forms of energy. One of the Great Leader’s most recent suggestions is that we turn for our energy needs from oil to pond scum – you know, algae! Yeah, that’ll really work. The point here, of course, is that the more successful the Bamster is, the less free the rest of us become and remember, that’s his ultimate goal! Fuel prices have a great deal to do with our freedom of mobility and our freedom of choice. The more expensive the fuel the less free we are to travel, the less free we are to find employment, and the less free we are to even choose the types of vehicles we will purchase!


And, of course, he lies! He’s not merely mistaken or misinterpreting the facts as they exist. He’s not reading it wrong, he just lies! His latest claim is that we as a nation have about 2% of the world’s energy reserves but consume at least between twenty and twenty-five percent of the same. Crap, Hooey, and Balderdash! In fact, the percentage of the world’s energy reserves that lay beneath our feet in our own country is at least 60 times greater than what he claims! At present, we have at least 1.5 trillion barrels of oil and natural gas at our disposal, we know where it is, and have the technology to harvest it. That’s 1.5 trillion with a “T.”! We have enough energy at our disposal at current levels of consumption to last us at least for the next 250 to 300 years! The problem, then, is not with the supply of energy at our disposal but rather with ideology. This Bastard is such a whore to the “Environmental Lobby” that he will do their bidding no matter the harm it does to our nation. Additionally, our technology has reached such an advanced level that we can recover these resources without harming the environment even slightly! Oil and the products refined from it are the cleanest and most efficient forms of energy we have. This is not merely an opinion but is a matter of fact. Why, then, will our Vaunted Leader not allow us to go after it? Do you know that since he became El Jefe he has issued exactly no permits to allow additional exploration or drilling for the stuff? The Evil President Bush granted over 40,000 such permits and during his tenure the price of gas went down! Doesn’t this tell you anything? It’s a clear signal that the last thing he wants is to see this nation achieve any sort of energy independence. He’d rather keep importing the stuff from other nations and thereby keep us dependent on them. American independence is just not part of his mind-set or world view!


The price of fuel should be dictated by the tenets and laws of our Free Market Capitalist economic system for it has proven over the centuries to work brilliantly! Not so for Obama and his Quislings. While we are literally awash in such things as oil and natural gas, the price of those commodities continues to sky-rocket. Well what then is the damned problem? Obama and his Bunch won’t allow us to go after it, bring it out of the ground, and refine it. This is all part and parcel of his grand design to bring this nation to its knees and keep us dependent on foreign sources of energy. Does this sound like independence to you? The Bastard killed the Keystone Pipeline, grants virtually no permits to drill in the Gulf of Mexico, and has steadfastly refused our energy companies from exploring and drilling in ANWR! Additionally, we have more coal reserves than any other nation on the planet and yet this Silly Son Of A Bitch has publicly declared that he will put that entire industry out of business!


The aforementioned pipeline and the Alaskan reserve can literally provide tens and tens of thousands of well-paying jobs for American citizens and quite literally hundreds of thousands of ancillary or related instances of both employment and entrepreneurship. Yet this Huckster has the utter cajones to tell us how concerned he is about the country’s current state of unemployment! To this I say a whopping Bullshit and Balls!! The higher the unemployment rate gets in America the more people must depend on the government for their unemployment checks and their very survival and we know that eligibility has been extended to an unprecedented 99 weeks. Does this sound like independence to you!?! Yeah, me too.


It is inconceivable to me that our nation has moved so far and so fast away from its heritage, traditions, and founding and yet that is apparently the case. To give up one’s independence in favor of dependence on government smacks to me of a complete and utter lack of pride and this is singularly un-American to its very core. Pride in country and pride in accomplishment and progress constitute two of America’s outstanding traits and both seem to be in shamefully short supply under the Bamster’s tenure. A willingness, even an eagerness, to depend on government largesse also displays a lack of personal pride that will, if left unabated, completely and forever destroy the very fabric of our society and way of life. How much pride in self does it take to shamelessly stick one’s hand out and say gimme, you owe me, I am entitled?(see related video)


How much personal pride does it take to demand – not ask for – food, housing, clothing, transportation and all of life’s other necessities and feel absolutely no sense of shame or remorse in the process? Yet this is what has happened and continues to happen in modern-day America. I give you as merely one small piece of anecdotal evidence a recent lottery winner from the state of Michigan. A woman there won a million dollars! Nice pay day and return on investment, huh? After the government finished taking its rapacious cut, she was left with over half a million – all hers. She bought a new house and car with part of the loot and no one I’m sure begrudged her one little bit of her new found financial good fortune. So, what’s the problem? Before her windfall, she was receiving about two hundred dollars a month in food stamps from the generous folks in Michigan and the rest of America. She wholeheartedly continued to believe that she should still be entitled to her stipend. After all, her convoluted reasoning maintained that she was still unemployed!


An article entitled, “Dependence on Government Highest in History (http://blog.heritage.org),” is depressing in the extreme. It notes, for example, that when JFK was in power about 25% of all federal spending paid for some 21.7 millions of Americans to be dependent on government. Today, however, government dependence has literally exploded, “with one in five Americans – more than 67.3 million – depending on Washington for assistance.” The piece continues that we have seen, “an alarming trend under the Obama administration of a level of dependence on our government that has never been seen before. Today, a full 70 percent of the federal government’s budget goes to pay for housing, food, income, student aid, or other assistance, with recipients ranging from college students to retirees to welfare beneficiaries.” Does this give you just a slight insight as to the direction our country has taken? Additionally, “government dependency jumped 8.1 percent in the last year, with the most assistance going toward housing, health and welfare, and retirement,” and that the, “federal government spent more tax dollars than ever before in 2011 to subsidize Americans.” Author Mike Brownfield quotes Representative Allen West saying that, “this disturbing trend does not bode well for our country and, in fact, will ultimately lead to an America where dependence – not independence – becomes the norm.” Furthermore, the Congressman insists that those, “in Congress need to do our part to aid the struggle for more personal responsibility. We need to reduce government spending levels so we are taking less from America’s producers of economic growth.”(see related video)


Sounds good, doesn’t it? Makes sense too. The problem is that as more and more of us relinquish our independence to government programs and assistance the more difficult it becomes to do without them. It seems that dependence has become our collective drug of choice. West warns that the, “federal government is about to burst at the seams. The United States simply cannot afford to continue fostering a society when a growing number of people are dependent on the federal government and not themselves.” He further warns that if, “this trend continues, America will see an increasing division between those who pay for programs that advance dependence, and those who accept – and expect – the assistance from those programs.”


The points thus far enumerated merely scratch the surface of just how dependent the American people have become on our out of control and virtually omnipotent central government. It seems that there is literally no area of our lives into which the government does not intrude. This is entirely understandable from the point of view of the Statists who are Hell-bent on socializing every single aspect of life in America no matter how seemingly insignificant. How else can we explain the fact that in less than one full term in office the Brother-in-Chief has added something like 80,000 new regulations and restrictions on our freedom and independence? This is what Socialism requires. While you can still, for example, own a business in America the regulations imposed make it almost impossible to successfully run it let alone make a profit. Profit, you see, is a dirty word to those of the LFE!


The inability to realize a satisfying return on one’s efforts and risks make it less and less attractive to even attempt to do so and that will over time spell the death of our glorious Free Market Economic System. This is no mere accident or the result of happenstance. This is part of a purposeful and nefarious plan designed to destroy our nation as we have come to love and cherish it. Destroying Capitalism will so change the nature and structure of America that it simply will not be recognizable to those of us who were born, raised, and educated here. We will have become no more or less than that liberalized, feminized, and socialized entity known as Western Europe where freedom has all but disappeared and government reigns supreme. This is exactly and precisely what’s coming our way if Liberalism is not soundly, thoroughly, and decisively defeated!


An article entitled, “20 Signs That The Culture Of Government Dependence Has Gotten Completely And Totally Out Of Control (http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com),” speaks eloquently to the unsettling fact that ever more Americans are succumbing to the seductive lure of increased government intrusion and dependence and thus a loss of freedom. It has been going on for so long now that too many of us recognize it as natural and normal and thus no longer understand the threat that it actually is. The author points out that, “there are now tens of millions of Americans that would not be able to survive without government assistance,” and that, “we have created a culture of dependence in this country. Americans that are now in their prime working years have been taught all of their lives that the government is going to take care of them from the cradle to the grave.”


In fact, this “culture of government dependence has gotten completely and totally out of control and now nearly half of all American households receive some form of government benefits. As a result, our debt is absolutely exploding, everyone looks to the government to solve our problems and very few Americans seem to possess a very strong work ethic any longer.” There is no way that any reasonable observer of the United States in the 21st Century can honestly disagree with the above conclusions. The only disagreement with what is happening to our country is whether or not one welcomes the direction we have taken. Unfortunately, it seems that more and more of our population looks forward to the changes being wrought by the Socialists among us or at least feel helpless to prevent them. This does not sound like the country I was born and raised in.


The author correctly insists that the, “truth is that the government is not your mommy and daddy. The government is not there to take money away from someone else and give it to you. The government is supposed to be the referee – not your own personal care taker.” The fact is that far too many of us view the government exactly and precisely as described above and that is because, “from the time they were babies millions of Americans have been taught to be completely dependent on the government. If we suddenly just cut them off they would not be able to make it. They simply have never been taught how,” and that a, “growing percentage of Americans have never learned how to make it on their own.” Whatever happened, I wonder, to time-honored American traits and characteristics like self-reliance, rugged individualism, and independence? What happened to our national character and psyche that permitted this culture of dependence to flourish and thrive? What caused us to morph into a nation of whiners, takers, and blamers? What has caused our obvious lack of shame and utter dearth of pride? The answers are not all that complicated and it is no more or less than full-blown, out of control, radical Liberalism as espoused by the LFE and its minions. Liberalism constitutes the absolute antithesis of proud and proven American values, traditions, and mores. Unfortunately, at this juncture in our history that thoroughly evil and destructive philosophy seems to be winning the culture war that has been raging unabated for decades!


The writer of the piece runs through a litany of indices that illustrate our nation’s growing dependence on government which by definition high-light our inability or refusal to depend on ourselves, our initiative, and creativity. He explains that 48.5% of American households receive some form of government aid or benefit and that far, “too many Americans believe that the government should just swoop in and solve all of their problems.” The article explains that the amount paid by government to individuals is both staggering and rising and that when, “you total it all up, American households are now receiving more money from the U.S. government than they are paying to the government in taxes.” We learn that we spent more than 50 billion dollars in “housing assistance” in 2009 and there are a stunning, “45 million Americans on food stamps,” which means that, “approximately one out of every seven Americans is dependent on the federal government for food.” Additionally, since 2007, the number of us receiving food stamps has increased by a whooping 74%, that 25% of children in America rely on food stamps and that, “64.3 million Americans depended on the government (read: their fellow citizens) for their daily housing, food, and health care during 2009.” The article concludes that we, “need to stop waiting for the government to fix everything,” and that the, “government is not going to fix our lives,” or those of the people around us. The piece correctly maintains that we, “need to start taking responsibility for our own lives and for our own communities.”


That’s damned sound advice from someone who appears to have his head screwed on right and his priorities in order. The question we must ask ourselves, however, is it already too late? Have we reached the point of no return, have we gone over the cliff of dependence so far that we simply can’t reverse the trend? Is this spirit-destroying dependence now a permanent feature and characteristic of our being and existence as a nation and a people? Have we changed so much from the days of our founding that the lessons taught and learned way back then are no longer relevant in 21st Century America? There are those of us out here who fear that the answer is yes and that our country as we have learned to love it has been lost to us forever. We trace it back to the time in our history when the Charity Mentality turned into the Entitlement Mentality. We believe that this is a major factor in what can only be termed as the demise of the United States of America!


Charity as defined by the Oxford Dictionary of Current English is the, “voluntary giving of money or other help to those in need,” and it has been one of our most defining characteristics as a nation and a people since our founding. It was help freely given and without any hint or trace of government coercion or involvement. It was given from individual to individual or perhaps from a voluntary organization set up freely by like-minded citizens. It was an intensely personal and individual experience and was done out of a sense of duty and obligation to help ease the plight of those who were temporarily down on their luck and needed a hand up. It was never meant to be a permanent condition or serve as a drain on our national well being.


Those who found themselves on the receiving end of charitable hand-outs borne by their neighbors did so with an extreme sense of shame and guilt. To have to receive charity meant to admit you were a failure – a total and utter failure! You could not support yourself or your family. You could no longer afford life’s necessities and had to rely on others to do so. Charity was received and accepted with a palpable sense of extreme gratitude, thankfulness, and utter humiliation! With it came an absolute determination to become once again self-supporting and proud in the shortest possible time. To assume this would exist for life and that you would be dependent on others in perpetuity was too horrific to even contemplate. To receive charity was to be stigmatized for it meant that the recipient was seen as anathema. To be forced to beg for one’s sustenance was the most shameful of all shameful situations. It showed one and all that you no longer possessed the least little iota or shred of self-respect and pride. What’s more, it worked. Charity was actually a short-term if extreme fix and most folks did whatever was necessary to correct those problems that were holding them back. It had always been so in this country, until fairly recently. Family took care of family and neighbor took care of neighbor. It was an intensely personal relationship and an extremely painful one for the recipient.


Not so anymore. What was once charity gratefully received has become “Entitlement” belligerently demanded! Entitlement means, “to give someone a right to do or to have.” The poor – those that cannot do for themselves – now have a right to get what they need from our nation’s productive class. This is easily one of the most arrogant mind-sets on the planet and it has been foisted upon us by the Far Left in our midst. All sense of shame and guilt has disappeared and those with their hands out whole-heartedly believe that they are entitled to the fruits of the labor of others. This condition has been institutionalized and fostered by government in the form of food stamps, housing credits, the welfare check, medical care and medicine, and so very much more.


As referenced earlier, 70% of our national budget is eaten up by our current entitlement programs and we as a people are forced to participate. We have no choice for the poor are supported almost exclusively by our tax dollars which the vast majority of us dare not withhold for fear of government reprisal and punishment. We have been coerced into giving our hard-earned and limited personal resources to those whom we may not deem worthy of our generosity or largesse. We no longer have anything at all to say about who gets what we have earned and the concept of wealth transference and the entitlement mentality have become permanent fixtures of American life. This defies everything America has come to represent over the centuries and unless reversed in one big damned hurry spells the death of this nation!


An article entitled, “A Nation of Government Dependents (www.americanthinker.com),” explains that our government, “at least as older citizens know it, is nearly extinct. Politicians are killing it by encouraging government profligacy and dysfunction at the federal and state levels and in many local jurisdictions as well.” Dependence on government has become systemic and has reached the point where it is literally strangling the freedom right out of us. So many Americans, especially the younger generations, have never known anything else so to them a Big Brother existence is the norm. They have no yard stick with which to measure how much freedom and thus dignity they no longer have compared to those of us who have been around for awhile. Care for just two seemingly innocuous and minor examples? Sure. I give you mandatory seat belt and helmet laws. Yes, I know. You think I’m being silly, ridiculous, and that I’m grasping at straws.


Really? I remember many years ago when I got into my 1968 muscle car that would easily hit 200 MPH, I rarely chose to use the seat belt. It may have been stupid, reckless, and dangerous but the point is it was MY CHOICE to make! I wasn’t forced by government to wear the belt and seriously, if I hit that bridge abutment at 95 miles per hour and went crashing through the windshield straight to my demise who the Hell else was I hurting? You got it, nobody. Wearing that contraption was my personal choice and responsibility and if I ended up dead or permanently injured I had no one to blame but myself and I alone paid the price. I enjoyed the freedom to make my own choice and live or die with the consequences.


Similarly, the same was true when I rode a Harley. If I chose to go helmetless, fly over the high side at 85 MPH, and go splat that was nobody’s damned business but mine! I was free to ride without the thing and no one could care less. Not anymore. Going sans helmet or not “buckling up” is now a violation of the law because I, obviously, can’t be trusted to make my own decisions or live my life the way I so choose. Only the government can do that because we common slobs, us little folk, are just too incompetent! Do you have any idea how FUCKING insulting and demeaning that is?!? Even kids riding their two-wheelers are impacted by the heavy, over-bearing hand of government run amok. The decision as to whether or not a child must wear a helmet while tooling around on his Schwinn should be left to the family and not to some pencil-pushing beaurocrat holed up in some government office! Yes, we are losing our freedoms from the smallest to the largest and that is due to the mentality of dependence on government that has steadily but surely deprived us of our liberty and our choices!


Government dependence is quite literally killing this once great country. It has changed us in ways never intended or envisioned by our Founding Fathers or those American that shaped and molded our core values and traditions. According to a piece entitled, “A Nation of Takers (http://patriotpost.us),” there was a time when Americans prided, “themselves on being a self-reliant people. We know that the freedom to make our own fortunes sets us apart from many other nations. It’s what has drawn generations of Americans to our shores – men and women risking their lives to live a life in which they, not the government, are in charge.” Look around and ask yourself whether or not this is still the case. If you answer honestly, then you must reply in the negative. The article continues that with, “each passing year, that portrait flies more and more in the face of reality. The numbers plainly show that we are becoming a people dependent not on ourselves, but on government. We are evolving into a nation of takers, not givers.”


How bad has it become? Let’s see, the piece continues that, “Americans who rely on government receive an average $32,748 worth of benefits. How high is that? Higher than the average American’s disposable income: $32,446.” Why sweat, toil, and work when Big Brother will simply give it to you? Remember, however, that in the process you are literally selling your soul, giving up your freedom, and becoming a slave to an already out of control and far too powerful central government whose only goal has become garnering unto itself as much power as it can at the expense of our liberty and freedom.

The Heritage Foundation deems the problem of dependence in America so important that it actually analyzes and assesses it. In a piece entitled, “The 2012 Index of Dependence on Government (www.heritage.org),” is particularly disturbing. It notes, for example, that “dependence on government by an increasing portion of the American population, and soaring debt that threatens the financial integrity of the economy – worsened yet again in 2010 and 2011.” In fact, “The United States has long reached the point at which it must reverse the direction of both trends or face economic and social collapse.” The study points out that more Americans than at any time in our history depend on the federal government for housing, food, income, student aid, and other assistance, “once considered to be the responsibility of individuals, families, neighborhoods, churches, and other civil society institutions.”


The study warns that dependence, “on the federal government for life’s many challenges strips civil society of its historical and necessary role in providing aid and renewal through the intimate relationships of family, community, and local institutions and local governments.” In fact our nation’s, “republican form of government, with its finely balanced mixtures of civil and political institutions and charitable roles,” is seriously threatened as more and more Americans go on the dole. The report ominously continues that perhaps, “the greatest danger is that the swelling ranks of Americans who enjoy government services and benefits for which they pay few or no taxes will lead to a spreading sense of entitlement that is simply incompatible with self-government.” The Index asks are, “Americans completely indifferent to history’s many examples of republican government collapsing under the weight of just such populations? Are Americans near the tipping point in the nature of their government and the principles that tie it to civil life?” Unfortunately, the answer is obvious and anyone who can’t see the writing on the wall is blind to the reality that America has become.


It seems, according the Index, that “Americans have reached a point in the life of their republic when the democratic political process has become a means for many voters to defend and expand the benefits they receive from government (read: their dependence).” The report further queries, “Do Americans want a republic that encourages and validates a growing dependence on the state and a withering of civil society? Do Americans want to further accentuate class lines between those who pay for programs that advance dependence, and those who unquestioningly accept – and expect – the assistance from those programs? Are Americans ready for the new class warfare, the battle lines of which are drawn by these dividing lines?” The report concludes that these, “are questions increasingly in need of urgent answers,” and that how, “Americans answer them may well determine the ultimate fate of their political system – and society.”


As more and more Americans reply in the affirmative to these and other salient questions, the more quickly we will lose the America we love. How do you answer them, HMMMMM?

The Social Justice Scam Rant

Social Justice. Think about that simple phrase for just a moment. Ponder it. Roll it around in your cerebellum for a couple of minutes and see what conclusions you can draw. It sounds anything but venal or destructive. It conjures up concepts like fairness, equality, or perhaps beneficence. It certainly doesn’t bring to mind anything obviously sinister or malevolent. Be warned, however, because that’s exactly what it is.(see related video) If you hear folks enthusiastically singing its praises you are listening to people who utterly loathe and despise this country as presently constituted and envisioned by our Founding Fathers. These people are at the very least Socialists and/or Communists who literally hate such American cornerstones as Rugged Individualism and Free Market Capitalism. They vehemently oppose such bedrock traditions like the Bill of Rights because it absolutely limits the power of government and reins in the desire to rule rather than govern. Social Justice advocates a massive, all powerful centralized government in which the rights of the people come not from God but rather from men – mere mortals. Rights granted by men are at best arbitrary and therefore temporary. Natural rights, conversely, are granted by the Creator and are thus immune from the machinations of those who would restrict or even destroy our freedoms.

In the June, 2011, rant, “The Anti-Americanism In Our Public Schools Rant,” Social Justice was discussed pretty much as it relates to our nation’s educational system in all of its astounding negativity. This piece takes the concept in a broader sense but the conclusions and effects are very similar. Its champions and proponents would love nothing more than to turn our country into just another third world shit-hole. They do not believe in American Exceptionalism and are utterly convinced that anyone who has more than anybody else could not have obtained whatever wealth they have accumulated by dint of hard work, planning, and establishing and reaching goals. No, success can only be achieved nefariously with no regard for the “little people” whose lives have been crushed by those of us who have achieved even a modicum of prosperity. Success, according to them, can be achieved only at the expense of others for they claim that our system constitutes a zero sum gain in which there is only so much to go around. If I, for example, have two pieces of pie it’s more than obvious that someone out there has been unfairly and cruelly deprived of his piece! It can be no other way. They refuse to comprehend or acknowledge the truism that barring the occasional glitch, our Free Market System causes the pie to continually grow and expand thus affording more and more individuals access to the resources they need to succeed and improve their lives.

Those that preach Social Justice are society’s great levelers and are determined to bring everyone down to the same plateau of misery, despair, and hopelessness. This they believe is only fair and just. If everyone can’t achieve wealth then obviously no one should be allowed to do so and therefore one of the main tenets of the Social Justice Mob is wealth redistribution. Take from those who have worked and earned and give it to those who have not. In their warped, distorted view of reality nothing could be more equitable than that and anyone who disagrees is obviously an evil advocate of Capitalism and, ipso facto, must be severely punished! How will they achieve their sinister plans for bringing the United States to its knees and implementing the destruction of Free Market Capitalism?

They will do so by constantly increasingly the size and scope of government to such an extent that its tentacles reach down to every citizen and controls-regulates all aspects of life in this country. It’s happening right now and has been the Liberal battle plan since at least the 1960’s with the advent of the Great Society which was a 100% total failure! The Social Justicers amongst us use as one of their main weapons an utterly confiscatory and horribly unfair system of taxation which is employed to both change and control our behavior from cradle to grave. They then provide those at the bottom with ever more so-called “entitlements” to create a permanent and utterly dependent underclass that will unquestionably do the bidding of the elite few who control the system and issue marching orders to the unthinking “booby” class! Those that control the purse strings can dictate any behavior they believe is in their own best interest which is and has always been raw, unbridled, and unmitigated power!

While meandering through a variety of dictionaries, I failed to find the term Social Justice. I did, however, come up with: Social; Justice; and Just. Well certainly, I thought those are fine starting points with which to begin an investigation of the concept and its consequences. Merriam-Webster’s defines social as, “of or relating to human society; the interaction of the group and its members and the welfare of those members.” Justice is defined as, “the administration of what is just,” and just is explained as, “morally or legally right,” and it is tied to terms like Deserved, Merited, Upright, Honorable, and Honest. Well then, there you have it. How can any concept or movement tied to the words Social Justice be anything but beneficial, noble, and benign? This makes no sense unless you are very familiar with Liberal tactics like prevarication, obfuscation, and plain old Double Speak!

The Liberals amongst us can’t openly, honestly, and unabashedly announce their intentions of literally destroying America and transforming it into something it was never intended to be. That old dog just don’t hunt and that old mule ain’t never gonna plow! So, how to overcome this weighty problem? Invent a name or a phrase that no one, at least on the surface, could possibly object to and wouldn’t even dare verbalize those objections because of the torrent of invectives and ad hominem attacks that will be hurled at him as sure as flies are attracted to shit! It might sound something like, “What the Hell is wrong with you? How can you possibly be against Social Justice? You must be some kinda damned racist!” You’ll get a similar reaction should you have the utter temerity, the balls, to ever object to Liberal efforts to throw more money at our public school system when the adults in the room fully comprehend that the problems with education have absolutely nothing to do with increased funding. You’re sure to hear something like, “What, are you nuts? What have you got against the children? You’re just a cold, cruel, heartless Son of a Bitch!”

Care for a few more short examples? You bet! Liberals constantly tout themselves off as the champions of the nation’s poor, downtrodden, and powerless and they sound ever so compassionate in their utterances. Why then do they do their damndest to foment and instigate class warfare at every opportunity? They need the various classes to constantly be at one another’s throats in order to further reinforce the illusion that they really do care about the less fortunate amongst us. If poor folks ever stop voting the Liberal Line, they’ll be under that proverbial bus in less time than it took Barry Boy to dump good old Pastor Jeremiah! You ever hear the Liberals make the claim that they want America to be a color blind society so that Martin’s dream can finally be brought to fruition? Of course you have, for it is a Liberal trademark. It’s also a bald-faced, out and out, total lie! They do all they can to exacerbate and escalate racial division and expressions like “institutional racism” are a mainstay of their old, tired, and worn playbook. If ever the perception spreads that there exists harmony between and among the races then the Liberals lose their huge voting block that they hold with our minority citizens. Additionally, race hustlers and baiters like Jackson and Sharpton are unemployed and we certainly can’t have that, now can we? Remember, words mean things and anyone can sound good, caring, and compassionate. In order to understand just how truly dangerous and destructive Liberalism is you must get past the Bullshit and Bombast and reflect only on their actions and the horribly deleterious results of Liberal policy!

The author of an article entitled, “Republican Voter: Liberal Democrats Are Ruining America(www.delcotimes.com), notes that he has been following politics for more than forty years and this is the first time he fears, “for this country’s future due to the liberal policies of this administration and the over-liberal Democratic Congress that wastes no time in writing another check on the shoulders of the American taxpayer.” He continues that, “if we allow this spending frenzy to continue, we will end up having a third world nation instead of what our forefathers envisioned more than 200 years ago, a republic with limited government and freedom for the individual.” The author expresses this view that countless Americans fully concur with and in fact it is precisely these concerns that spawned the entire and entirely successful grass roots Tea Party Movement.

If any of us ran our homes the way the Social Justice Mob wants to run the nation we’d all be bankrupt, living in a shelter, or perhaps on the street. We simply can’t run up debt and deficits on a personal level like the Liberal Democrats are doing on the national level. At some point the piper must be paid and we simply can no longer afford the bill! The writer continues that, “champions of social justice have harmed this country for too long,” and we absolutely, “know all too well the dangers of permanent handouts at the expense of the working public.” Amen, Brother! I have read absolutely frightening statistics that point out that fewer than half of those in our so-called labor force are actually employed and are therefore paying taxes. Something like the top 2% of all American wage earners pay just about 40% of all taxes while the top ten percent pay over 75% of all taxes. This is utterly unsustainable! The bottom 51% of all wage earners pay nada, zip, zero!

We had a revolution in this country all those years ago and one of the major issues then was taxation especially the kind without representation. I’ve got news for you folks, we are in the exact same situation today regarding both of those issues. Those of us who still fork over our hard-earned money to the government are certainly not receiving adequate representation from the political class that believes it has a license to steal. Are you aware, for example, that “Obamacare” was vehemently rejected by something like 80% of our citizens who were either satisfied or very satisfied with the health care and health insurance they currently hold? The public completely rejected it but it was rammed down our throats nonetheless. Does that sound like representation to you, hmmm?

The Bamster’s tax on energy use and production – Cap and Trade – has not yet become a reality but it will if we allow The Anointed One and his minions to continue to ride rough-shod over our rights. (see the, “Obama Crap and Tax Rant,” of 11/23/10) The vast majority of us insist that we become self-sufficient concerning energy and we sure as Hell have enough of our own natural resources to make it happen! Are we drilling in places like ANWR? No. Our Environmentalist Wacko-in-Chief has publicly vowed to personally destroy our coal industry even though we can now liquefy the stuff so that it burns cleanly. Are we using our vast resources wisely and productively? No. We have more natural gas than anyone on the planet. Are we allowed to go and get it? No. Does this sound like we are receiving adequate representation on these and so many more crucial areas of life? No!! If our Founding Fathers could look down and see what has happened to their original vision they’d come back and stage a second American Revolution!

John J. Pino, the author of the piece under consideration, concludes by pointing out that, “Sixty-five years ago, referring to a socialistic system of government, Ludwig Von Mises said, “The champions of socialism call themselves progressives, but they recommend a system which is characterized by rigid observance of routine and by a resistance to every kind of improvement. They call themselves liberals, but they are intent upon abolishing liberty. They call themselves Democrats, but they yearn for dictatorship. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they want to make the government omnipotent. They promise the blessings of the Garden of Eden, but they plan to transform the world into a gigantic post office.” Finally he notes that this, “is the view of many Democrats today. Under the guise of social justice, they plan to create a socialist environment with scarce resources, curtailed freedom for the individual and a federal budget that would choke a horse.”

One Kasey Write Wringer penned a piece entitled, “Is Social Justice Destroying America?” (www.associatedcontent.com), which deals with the issues of what exactly Social Justice is and how it harms our nation. She explains that, “Social Justice in a nutshell is when the wealth of those who work is taken from them by the government and redistributed to those who have not worked for it.” Simply and accurately put. Wealth transfer is advocated only by Socialists or Communists whose end game has always been and remains the creation of a government that intrudes and invades literally every and all aspects of the lives of its citizens. Obviously, as the government becomes ever bigger and more powerful the populace finds itself with less and less freedom. The concept of limited government with only those powers granted to it in our magnificent Constitution is enough to send these people into a total wild-eyed, foaming at the mouth fury! If you ever want to test this little theory, here’s something that you can do.

Step into any student union at virtually any of our nation’s colleges or universities for there you will find an endless supply of grist for your mill. Begin reading the Tenth Amendment and make sure your voice resonates and you precisely articulate your message. Next, get ready to run like Hell after having carefully planned your escape route! You’ll immediately realize that it’s time to get the Hell out of Dodge and head for the tall grass!! You’ll also rather quickly learn how utterly and ruthlessly intolerant these folks truly are even while consistently claiming that they are the most tolerant and open minded of our citizenry. Don’t ever suggest to these Far Left Ideologues that our government should be limited in size and scope for you’ll drive them thoroughly and completely apoplectic although I gotta admit, it’s great fun to watch!

Winger continues that even when our Huckster-in-Chief was running for office he complained that the, “founders made mistakes when they wrote out the nation’s founding documents, they left out the redistribution of wealth.” The author points out the obvious by stating that it, “doesn’t take a genius to realize that social justice implies and justifies socialism which seeks to create what they call equality through various means of wealth redistribution (taxation, monetary policies, welfare, nationalization, etc.)” The concept also focuses on America’s Have-Nots for, “those without food and decent shelter ought to be given these things.” It also gives way to socialized health care, “where all the healthcare in the country is nationalized, that is government takes control over everyone’s health care.” Sound familiar folks? The establishment of socialized medicine tightens the government’s already vice-like death grip on our freedoms, gives it control over just about twenty per cent of America’s economy, and completely destroys the historical relationship between patient and physician. Your health care and insurance are now in the hands of nameless and faceless beaurocrats who couldn’t give a flying rat’s ass about you or your loved ones!

Those who advocate for Social Justice are utterly ecstatic about this radical departure from our history and traditions. The writer accurately recognizes that on the surface, the tenets and goals of the Social Justice Movement may sound compassionate and caring but if one just digs a little deeper, “you will see total disaster as the masses of citizens lose their personal liberty in place of a socialist system of so called health care.” The remedy to this obvious, clear cut, and unambiguous threat to America’ very existence is that, “solid conservative men and women must fill the halls of Congress if we are ever to get a hold on our tax system, and get rid of Obamacare, and allow oil exploration to occur so we can get prices back down to a decent level.” She correctly concludes that, “Social Justice is the path to full blown Communism! It MUST be stopped!”

For those out there who view issues like Social Justice, the threat of creeping Socialism, or the vast and intrusive growth of government size and power as merely esoteric or ethereal issues too far removed from our busy daily lives – think again. Social Justice advocates rely heavily on the apathetic and the ignorant amongst us. They understand full well that most of us have immediate daily concerns like earning a living, moaning and groaning about paying our taxes, and raising our families. They count on this as a tactic for quietly enacting their Far Left agenda and utterly destroying the country. Their ideas and ideology have indeed filtered down to the local level and are not merely relegated to academe or arguments between Republicans and Democrats in our nation’s capitol.

Take the city of Seattle, Washington and its police force as an example. Yeah, I know. Why should law enforcement and anti-American concepts like Social Justice even be included in the same sentence? I want our cops all over America to be concerned with only a few very basic issues and politics is certainly not one of them. I want them to pay attention to such things as apprehending those out there who break the law and prey on the average citizen. I want those in law enforcement to see to it that the miscreants and marauders amongst us are harshly punished. But, hey, that’s just me. I don’t want them distracted or confused or in any way impeded by issues like Social Justice, Political Correctness, Multiculturalism or any of that sort of bilge! I want them to focus with laser-like energy and precision on performing their ever so important job of getting rid of the barbarians out there who would do us harm. That’s it!

Sadly, according to one Officer Steve Pomper, this is not the case. Writing for The Guardian, the newsletter for the Seattle Police Officers’ Guild, that city, “using its Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJJ), continues its assault on traditional and constitutional values such as self-reliance, equal justice, and individual liberty.” He is more concerned, however, by the fact that Seattle is, “inflicting its socialist policies directly on the Seattle Police Department(http://nicholasstixuncensored.blogspot.com).”

The officer explains that, “the city has extended its leftist political agenda to the police department, which should remain as apolitical as possible. The police department is not a laboratory and its cops are not guinea pigs.” Pomper could not be more correct for politicizing cops is not unlike President Barry Boy’s insistence that terrorist scum captured on a battlefield must be read their Miranda Rights! Maybe next he’ll insist that we serve them tea and crumpets. The author continues that, “Social justice is a socialist scheme that judges people not as individuals, but by their race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status,” and that the, “groups touting social justice all tend toward the political left, including socialist and communist groups.” The gentleman is absolutely one hundred per cent accurate in his assessment and equally so when he states that even, “in its least aggressive forms, socialism is responsible for wrecking economies, restricting liberty, and stifling human innovation and achievement worldwide.”(see related video)

Pomper is definitely on to something here. By establishing Socialism at the local level, the community is afforded the opportunity to gradually and comfortably grow accustomed to it. Once enough folks in enough small cities and towns have become inured to it and it has become a “normal” aspect of their everyday existence, advocates of concepts like Social Justice can move on to the state level and eventually over time go national. Officer Pomper correctly maintains that, “any student of history knows that totalitarianism begins with small bites,” and that, “if we aren’t careful, we will literally vote ourselves into tyranny.” In fact, “Some people think we came pretty damn close in 2008.”

All “good” Liberals including those that advocate Social Justice will insist that they only do what they do for our own and the nation’s good. They will take care of us lesser folk out there for they are utterly condescending and paternalistic and they hold that we are obviously too selfish, stupid, and irrational to look out for our own and the nation’s best interests. While they may claim nothing but the best of intentions they are out and out liars beginning with our current Liar-in-Chief right on down to city council members of local municipalities. While they, “may not intend oppression, this is to where socialism always-always leads, to one degree or another.” I, unlike the author, am firmly convinced that the “Progressives” among us absolutely and purposefully intend harm and they are anything but well intentioned! They desire to cause as much mayhem and destruction as they possibly can.

They are power hungry in the extreme and more than anything else desperately desire to wreck this great nation and transform it into yet one more failed Socialist enclave in which the rights and freedoms of the citizen are so greatly reduced so as to be effectively nonexistent. The author queries, “at what point does our commitment to American liberty and opposition to socialism compel us to disengage from something we find so abhorrent to our nation?” That’s a damned good question and is eminently prescient at this very precarious moment in our country’s history. Pomper maintains that for most of our country’s past, America was exceptional, “and we must remain exceptional now. And what makes America exceptional is our commitment to equal justice and individual liberty, not social justice and emulating Europe’s failures.”

One of the many reasons for the success of this phenomenon known as Social Justice is simply that we have been transformed into a nation of cowards. Yup, there it is right out in the open in front of God and everybody. Over time, we have morphed into a country of whiners, complainers and weak and soft blubberers. We have become afraid of virtually everything and everybody. Major American characteristics like confidence, optimism regarding the future, and the absolute bedrock conviction that America’s best days are yet ahead of us have virtually evaporated and disappeared. We quake and cower. We are afraid to criticize or to be criticized for fear of offending this group or that special interest or anybody deemed a member of a so-called “protected class”.

We must never, absolutely never in any manner shape or form even remotely hint at the slightest disapproval of any minority race or ethnicity because we may be deemed – horror of all horrors – to be politically incorrect. Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians are strictly off limits as are Muslims – especially Muslims. We will invariably be excoriated as haters, bigots, racist, and xenophobic. We will lay ourselves open to the most vile ad hominem attacks conceivable. In more than just a few instances, those verbal attacks become physical. We must never speak negatively of homosexuals or homosexuality. After all, I guess everyone is entitled to their own brand of aberrant behavior because I mean who among us is perfect? We must never speak ill of the armies of illegal immigrants invading our nation everyday for fear of offending somebody or some group. We have become a nation of sniveling, fearful poltroons and our collective testosterone levels have completely fallen of the charts! It has literally gotten to the point where our Doofus-in-Chief has banned anyone in his administration from using the terms “Terrorist” or “War on Terror.”

One of America’s most famous Socialists, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, famously admonished that the, “only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Crap, Hooey, Balls, and Bullshit! I don’t know what that really means and I doubt that Roosevelt did either. But hey, it was a catchy phrase, served some nebulous purpose, and like all of Liberalism it represented nothing more than symbolism over substance (please note the Limbaughism here). We have much to fear, We have enemies who are Hell-Bent on bringing America down and while they should be feared, it is far more important to thoroughly defeat them before they destroy us! And yes, it really is that bad. The Social Justice Mob, the Politically Correct Crowd, the Multiculturalists, the Globalists and One-Worlders, and many more are all tied to one another and all are solidly on the Far Left!

In an article entitled, “Political Correctness is Destroying America(http://kansascity.com),” author Glen Enloe comments that he notices, “a great fear in the land. Huge economic, social, and environmental uncertainties have given us pause. For the first time that I can recall, many of us have doubts that our nation will even survive.” Unfortunately, that statement is utterly and frustratingly true. It also seems to represent a rather new phenomenon in our collective psyches. America has always been a land of boundless, unbridled hope, energy, and optimism. We have always been a confident and positive place and for most of our history have assumed that there is nothing America can’t accomplish once we decide to undertake a task or achieve specific goals. This seems no longer to be the case and this uncertainty and indecision can be laid directly at the feet of Liberalism and those who espouse it.

After all, if you are brainwashed with the “Big Lie” often enough far too many people develop chinks in their mental and intellectual armor. After at least half a century of negative propaganda purposely perpetrated by the Far Left a certain amount of self-doubt is inevitable. Many begin to wonder why there is so much criticism of the United States by its own citizens not to mention the constant attacks by those from abroad. The “Lame-Stream” media exacerbates and reinforces the negativity until too many Americans begin to ask, “Could it really be true? Could America really have fallen so far?”

The author continues that, “our leaders have become strangers in a strange land who do everything in their power to weaken us, change our values and shape us into something we don’t want to become. We rightly fear that they are in it for themselves; for the money, fame, power and blind ideology.” He further notes that our, “leaders are not for the people. They arrogantly hold their noses in the air as they toss platitudes to the peasants and mandate what they think is best for us.” That’s a very succinct and fearfully accurate characterization of today’s Liberal Elite Ruling Class. They mock and deride those of us on the Conservative side as Neanderthals, out-dated, and irrelevant. We are charged with standing in the way of progress and it’s high time we became silent and let our “betters” control our lives. They simply refuse and can’t accept the absolute and undeniable truism that they, the LFE (Liberal Fucking Elite) are at the root of every problem we now face. If these folks are left unchecked, the United States of America is literally doomed!

Mr. Enloe points out that, “Conservative bogeymen are forever conjured up, and race cards are continually thrown as we are accused of being too hateful in our speech. If someone foolishly dares to speak the truth, that person is humiliated and destroyed,” and the author correctly concludes that, “we have become cowards in our own country. It is political correctness and supposed social justice that will lead to our fall.” Did you catch that last? Go back and read it again. Good. We are not dealing here with the theoretical or hypothetical. We are dealing in cold, hard realities. Those of us who can envisage the end of America as most of us have come to love it are NOT being hysterical nor are we attempting to merely gain recognition and maybe grab some headlines. We genuinely fear for the very survival of the greatest nation God ever gave mankind!

Under the guise of things like Social Justice, our current leadership is purposefully and assiduously destroying our beloved country. They are quite literally bound and determined to reduce us to a system of economic slavery in which we are forced to turn to government to provide all of our wants and needs! If the Founders could see what has happened to our Great Experiment, they would be spinning in their graves at about 50,000 RPM’s! During a break at the Constitutional Convention all those years ago, Old Ben Franklin was asked by a woman what kind of government those great men were going to give us. Franklin tersely replied, “A republic, Madame, if you can keep it!” Well, Ben Old Boy, whaddya think? Have we maintained what was supposed to be a limited government with only a few responsibilities and powers? Do we still have a government of, for, and by the people? The honest answer to these and many other crucial questions is a resounding, ear-splitting NO!!

How will the Social Justice Mob and the Liberals in general bring about this condition of economic slavery referenced above? The answer is frighteningly and forbodingly simple. First of all, over the last sixty or so years they have preconditioned, brainwashed if you will, far too many of us to accept as normal and natural what was once though to be abhorrent and utterly destructive. The idea of “Entitlements” is a primary and instructive example of this dangerous trend. By definition, if someone is entitled to a thing, then that thing must be paid for and it will only be paid for by the government (read that as your money!). Those on the Far Left would ask, “What’s wrong with that? Isn’t that what government is for?” Those of us on the Right side of the issue instinctively know the answer to questions like these.

Over the last 235 years, we have managed to run up deficits of over $14,000,000,000,000! That’s an amazingly unconceivable number that most of us simply can’t wrap our brains around. It’s just not fathomable. Just as an aside, all Presidents from Washington to G.W. Bush are responsible for approximately 53% of that horror show! So how do we account for the other 47%? That’s right! Boy, I’m tellin’ ya, absolutely nothin’ gets by you guys now does it? Our very own Communist-in-Chief, Barry Boy Wonder Obama single handedly accounts for that 47% and he did it solo! Your grandchildren’s grandchildren will still be paying just the interest on that monstrosity which now amounts to roughly $25,000,000,000 each and every month! Does the concept of economic slavery in the United States sound so bizarre now?

Another method the LFE employs to enslave the rest of us is the tax code which is implemented via the most vicious and fiercest collection agency on the planet – the dreaded Internal Revenue Service. You know, you can literally get away with murder in this country but you’ll never, ever escape the vice-like clutches of the IRS! You will go to jail and you will lose your home and all of your other possessions until the beast is satiated! We are constantly bombarded with the Liberal war cry that the rich don’t pay their fair share of the tax burden ad infinitum and ad nausea. Those evil rich guys out there are hurting the nation and their greed and selfishness is absolutely boundless! Pap, Crap, Hooey, and Phooey!! By way of reinforcing a point made earlier, let me again run a few simple numbers by you and see what you think. The top 2% of all wage earners in this country pay just about 40% all taxes! The top10% pay just under 80% while the bottom 51% pay absolutely nada, zip, zero, zilch!! The next time some clown starts bitching and moaning that the rich don’t pay their fair share, I’m absolutely gonna slap him!

Still on the issue of taxes, we must remember that His Highness magnanimously – but temporarily – extended the Bush tax cuts that lowered the marginal rates and increased the amount of taxes actually paid into our Treasury Department. By the way, that happens every time it’s tried. Well, when the tax cuts expire the marginal tax rates in what was once the good old U.S.A. will spike to something like 62% and that’s only on the Federal level! When you add to that state and local taxes, sales tax, etc. it will absolutely no longer be worth it to work. Does economic slavery make just a tad more sense now? As more and more of us stop working then more and more of us will have to depend on government to provide all of our wants and needs. Dependency and government are synonymous.

Just recently, Obama imperiously declared – you know, he’s very good at imperiously declaring – that polls he is aware of informed him that upwards of 80% of Americans want to or at least are willing to pay more and higher taxes. PUH-LEEEEZE!! I and far more competent folks than myself have searched for said poll or similar ones. They don’t exist. You mean the President of the United States out and out lied to the American people? Nah, that would never happen, not with Old Honest Obama at the helm! That Brother has lied to us so many times that I’m sure the size of his schnazola makes even Pinnochio blush a deep shade of red! As long as we’re still on the topics of Social Justice and economic slavery let’s spend just a few more minutes on subjects financial. The Heritage Foundation, by far one of the premier think tanks and research organizations in extant, publishes a blog called The Foundry: Conservative Policy News From The Heritage Foundation(http://blog.heritage.org). Brian Reidl wrote a piece entitled, “Obama Budget Adds $80,000 Per Household To National Debt.” Doesn’t that sound full of hope and change?

Reidl points out that while, “President Obama claimed his budget would produce $7.2 trillion in deficits (a staggering figure) over the next decade the CBO calculated $9.5 trillion in deficits.” No, could the Bamster be lying to us yet again or is this simply an honest miscalculation? The author continues that this constitutes, “more debt than the federal government accumulated from 1789-2010 combined,” and that, “the national debt held by the public – 40 percent of GDP before the recession – would soar past 87 percent of GDP in a decade.” Translation? We’re fucked! He correctly asserts that these, “large deficits will persist because the President’s steep tax hikes cannot keep up with his runaway spending. President Obama would raise taxes by 1.3 percent of GDP, yet increase spending by 4 percent of GDP.” This being the case, the “annual cost of interest on the national debt would quadruple.”

I have read that the annual cost of servicing the debt stands at about twenty-five billion per month and this fool’s gonna push it to around one hundred billion a month!?! I’ve got news for ya’ folks, the well is quickly running dry! The writer gloomily concludes that under the Saboteur-in Chief’s budget proposal, “taxpayers would see large tax increases, bigger government, and slower economic growth.” Additionally, “The President . . . would, over the next decade, drop an additional $80,000 per household in debt onto the laps of our children. This is an irresponsible budget proposal by any standard.” Economic slavery anyone? Sure as shit sounds like Social Justice to me!

The Social Justice Mob and Liberals in general are out to destroy our country and that should be more than just a little obvious to anyone with a discerning and analytical mind. This is a perfect illustration of something called “Achum’s Razor” which states that all things being equal, the simplest answer or explanation is almost always the correct one. In attempting to cipher or fathom why Liberal’s in our society behave the way they do, why they support legislation that stifles freedom and choice, or why they vehemently reject the notion of American Exceptionalism just think of the simplest answer for there can only be one. They despise the United States of America and desire above all else its speedy demise!

A piece entitled, “Does Obama Want To Destroy America? Yes, But. . .”,(http://biggovernment.com), quotes well known Conservative Michael Medved who says, ‘that a politician who wants to be re-elected would not want to destroy the very nation that he has been elected to lead.’ The author correctly points out, “that would make sense only if Obama were a conventional politician and if only Obama himself hadn’t told ABC News, ‘I’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president.’ That very sentence directly from the President’s own mouth seems to shoot full of holes Medved’s conventional logic.” Yup. You know the old adage that if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck – well then.

The problem here is that most Americans have tremendous difficulty understanding or grasping the concept of American citizens and leaders wanting to destroy this great nation. It is so mind boggling, so foreign to any rationale we could possibly imagine or conjure up that too many Americans simply refuse to accept or come to grips with it. They are perfectly capable of understanding that this country does have foreign enemies out there that literally want to destroy “The Great Satan” but American citizens, no way in Hell! For those of you who fall into this category, I’ve got some news. The Tooth Fairy is dead and good old Santa is to be found only at the mall! It’s time for you to get your heads either out of the sand and/or your own ass and wake up and smell the damned coffee!

You see, among other things, “Liberals think that the U.S. is arrogant and needs to be taken down a notch or three. Liberals think that U.S. history is filled with nothing but evil and any attacks on the U.S. are richly deserved.” It is we who brought 9-11 on ourselves and have only ourselves to blame! Yeah folks, they mean that with every fiber of their being and with every breath they take. Additionally, these saboteurs believe that America, “was founded by evil, selfish, hateful white men who were only interested in their own power and didn’t want to empower others.” That being the case, those Bastards on the Far Left, “want the founder’s memories eviscerated,” and, “our capitalist system to be eliminated.” They literally, “want to erase everything that makes the U.S.A. the U.S.A.,” and then, “build a U.S. to their own liking using the very freedoms they used to lay her low.”

The author correctly explains that in fact it is Liberals and not Conservatives or Republicans, “that have used government to destroy America. Liberals have used the courts to destroy religion. Liberals have used the schools to preach against American history. Liberals have used the government to weaken economies and create a culture of dependence.” Conversely, “Conservatives have not used government to do anything of the kind. In fact, even in the bad old days it was Democrats that tried to use the government as a weapon against those that it wanted to keep down.”

The advocates of Social Justice, those that espouse causes like Political Correctness, Multiculturalists, Cultural Diversity Champions, and Liberals in general are no more or less than out and out statists with an absolutist, authoritarian world view and mindset. They don’t think in the short term but instead concoct very long-range plans that can literally take decades to successfully implement. They have infinite patience and that works against most Americans who must think about the next day or next week. Those that have a clear-cut plan and are highly motivated behind the idea of destroying America are more than just a little dangerous. It is also important to remember that these types don’t even, “care if they lose elections in the short term. It is the obliteration of the old to be replaced by their new ‘improved’ U.S.A. that is their actual goal, not anything as mundane as winning elections.” Folks, these guys have gotta be stopped if the America we know and love is to continue to exist and I’m positive that there isn’t a whole lot of time left!

THE OBAMA CRAP AND TAX RANT

The Democrat controlled House of Representatives voted to approve the Obama backed Cap and Trade bill so heavily touted by the current administration. The Senate has yet to do so and we can only hope that the mid-term elections which as of this writing are merely a few days away will constitute, among many other things, a resounding and total repudiation of the Bamster’s fervent ambition to literally cripple our country! Should this insanity prevail, our nation will have been so drastically damaged that it will effectively destroy the United States as we have come to know and cherish it. If this anti-American lame excuse for a President succeeds, this country’s population will be relegated to the status of mere economic slaves to this charlatan’s demented vision of bringing America to its knees. Make no mistake, this is precisely what he desires and needs. I’m positive that he actually salivates at the mere prospect of his dream coming to a successful fruition!

This monstrosity will absolutely dwarf all of his previous malfeasance for it is nothing more or less than the single largest tax increase in the history of American taxation despite his now infamous $250,000 pledge! It is a tax on all forms of energy production and consumption which will obviously negatively impact literally 100% of the American population. What activities can you imagine that do not involve energy consumption? Right – because none exist. Such a tax will certainly raise the price of virtually everything and anything that we purchase. It will become prohibitively expensive to explore for, produce, and refine the oil that is the lifeblood of this nation’s existence and one of the key factors in creating the single greatest economic engine in world history. America’s prosperity and prestige are inexorably entwined with it. For those out there who demand that we move away from fossil fuels and toward dependence on what are known as, “alternative energy sources,” you are merely dreaming or are in league with the Anointed One’s ambitions to destroy the United States. This nation must rely predominantly on oil and oil by-products for at least another century. Our coal industry will also not be spared by our fearless leader who has publicly vowed to destroy it.(click for related video}

Food prices at the local grocery store will sky rocket beyond any reasonable measure while all manner of medicine, prescription and over the counter, will spike upward. The cost of public transportation that constitutes a literal lifeline for those residing in our urban centers will become thoroughly frightening while the cost of education will rise to such a level that in a relatively short time only children of our most wealthy and elite will be able to afford it. Property taxes for those who have thus far managed to avoid foreclosure will make traditional home ownership a thing of the past and will have turned the American dream into an absolute nightmare! The cost of owning a car will be out of reach for the vast majority of Americans and not solely from the inevitable gas price increases but from the increased cost of merely purchasing a vehicle. The cost of heating our home, regardless of the fuel used to do so, will become prohibitive.

Additionally, foreign and domestic travel will be virtually impossible for a multitude of Americans whose vacations will have been priced out of existence. Saving and investing for one’s future will become severely curtailed and the fond dream of leaving your loved ones something for their futures will become nothing more than wishful thinking. Activities that we currently take for granted will become ever less affordable. Do you presently enjoy a movie once a week or perhaps twice a month? Forget it. Do you frequent your favorite restaurant with your family on a regular basis? Do it while you still can. Watch your bowling league dwindle away to nothing while that weekly round of golf with your buddies becomes nothing more than a cherished memory! Yeah, I know. I should just shut the Hell up and stop worrying so much. These things can’t possibly happen in America!

Obviously, the decrease in economic activity suggested above can only result in the destruction of entire industries as our leader and his henchmen continue to steamroll down the destructive path they have purposely chosen. The automobile industry will be severely crippled as will the coal and oil industries. Airline travel will no longer be an affordable convenience but an out of reach luxury for too many Americans. The entire leisure-recreation-vacation sectors of our economy will become a thing of the past. Our defense industries will no longer be able to keep this nation safe and secure as we have come to expect and will become as effective as that of the French just prior Hitler’s blitzkrieg. Our Department of Defense will have been effectively transformed into the Department of Koombaya! The pharmaceutical industry will be devastated and home building will become unrecognizable, if not nonexistent.

Make no mistake, this partial list of destruction is inevitable if Obama’s Cap and Trade machinations are passed and implemented. That is his ultimate and thinly disguised goal.(see related video) Unemployment is still hovering at around 10% but if we factor in all those Americans who have simply given up looking for work and those who are “underemployed,” the number rises to just under 20%! Why would the leader of this great nation desire and relish the above scenario? The answer is obvious once we accept the fact that he is decidedly anti-American and intensely dislikes what this country has come to represent over the last two plus centuries. He fervently believes in a “command and control” economy and despises free market capitalism! He is a full-blown Socialist and wants to create as much dependence on government as he can in the shortest period of time. In his warped, twisted, and distorted world view, he is Big Brother, The Messiah, and the Exalted One combined into a Supreme Being who will lead us unthinking, undeserving peons into the Promised Land! He is Hell-bent on thoroughly destroying any vestige of or remnant of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship that have become hallmarks of our capitalist economic system which has produced the wealthiest and most powerful nation that the world has ever seen or will see again!

In a web piece from the Heritage Foundation’s, “The Foundry: Conservative Policy News (http://blog.heritage.org) the author states that simply put Cap and Trade is, “a tax on energy consumption. In fact, it would act as a huge tax. If enacted cap-and-trade will be one of the government’s largest revenue sources within the next decade,” and that since, “85 percent of our energy demand is met through fossil fuels, increasing the cost of energy will have significant economic consequences.” Additionally and most notably, “the cost of producing goods for businesses increases, and consumer demand falls for two reasons: price hikes on goods reduces demand and people have less disposable income due to higher energy prices.” These conclusions are logical, straight forward, and inevitable and anyone predicting anything but these outcomes is lying, grossly ignorant, or both. Ominously, the same piece continues that, “since low-income households spend a larger percentage of their incomes, higher prices hit the poor much harder.” But wait, I thought “President Dude” billed himself as the peoples’ champion, as the man who would never impose additional taxes on their already over burdened shoulders. Have I missed or overlooked something here?

The writer points out the obvious by saying, “higher energy prices force businesses to make production cuts and reduce labor,” while, “as we see in the current recession, reduced consumer spending only exacerbates,” this trend resulting in, “increased unemployment and slow economic growth.” The author of this 2009 article states bluntly of the proposed Crap and Tax legislation that, “it’s a jobs killer.” Folks, this doesn’t even qualify as Economics 101 for any half bright sixth grader would have absolutely no difficulty in comprehending the underlying principles here. Can we conclude, then, that those who champion such legislation are simply not the sharpest tools in the shed or more ominously, that they are working from a specific playbook and the outcomes are meticulously well thought out, planned, and executed? Given their ultimate end-goal of the destruction of this nation and a complete obsession with growing the size of government and our dependence on it for all of our wants and needs, I believe that the answer is more than just a little obvious.

On March 18, 2009, Republican whip Eric Cantor posted, “The Facts About The Democrats’ Budget (http://republicanwhip.house.gov).” He accurately and succinctly notes such items as: the largest tax increase in American history; a tax increase on families of more than $3,000 a year in higher energy prices; a tax burden that would hit lower-income and middle-income families the hardest; the potential to destroy anywhere from 1.8 million to 7 million jobs; the stifling of economic growth: and higher energy costs. Cantor asks a particularly salient question when he queries, “why would Congress want to raise families’ energy bills, increase America’s dependence on foreign energy, and destroy American manufacturing jobs?” Why indeed?

The author quotes such luminaries as tax-cheat Timothy Geitner who gives a key clue as to answering the above when he warns that if, “people don’t change how they use energy then they will face higher costs for energy . . . .” The Socialist-in-Chief wants to change the behavior and habits of the American public and one tried and true method for so doing has always been through raising taxes in order to make life’s necessities affordable to fewer citizens by hiking costs to unprecedented levels. This, of course, doesn’t really phase the wealthiest among us nor does it particularly burden the poorest and most destitute. It does, however, constitute a bona fide middle class killer! It is the middle class that already pays the vast majority of taxes and they also provide the lion’s share of jobs for those seeking employment. As the middle class is choked by ever increasing and punitive tax hikes, the entire nation suffers which appears to by exactly what that anti-American son of a bitch in the White House seeks to do. He, as all authoritarians, is after more and more dependence and control over our fellow countrymen in order to force changes in our behavior and habits that conform to his collectivist vision.

Owning a home, for example, has long been a defining element of the hallowed American dream and that will become a Hellish nightmare if cap and trade is ultimately put into play. Ryan Young writing for Politico (http://politico.com) correctly maintains that, “cap-and-trade will depress home prices,” in an already severely weakened real estate market. The Anointed One is determined to destroy American traditions and institutions to the point of radically eviscerating any recognizable vestiges of this nation’s exceptional nature so he can remake it into something he is more compatible with. The bill contains 397 new regulations that, “would affect almost everyone who buys or sells a house.” He informs us that homes for sale would be defined as, “federally related transactions . . . which would be required to undergo an environmental inspection.” Does this sound like the America handed down to us by our parents and grandparents or some perverted, twisted, and distorted rendition of one of America’s most cherished dreams? These inspections, of course, are not free and fixing any “violations” found by said government inspectors could run into many thousands of dollars thus making the home that much more difficult to sell.

Suppose, for example, you have a window that isn’t quite airtight or your appliances are a little too old and aren’t what’s called Energy Star efficient. Well, the solution is simple for, “you’d have to replace them before you’d be allowed to sell your home.” Allowed to sell your home!?! This sounds like an all out attack and a perversion of one of this nation’s most cherished traditions – that of private property. You’re all familiar with that old phrase that a man’s home is his castle. Apparently not according to His Majesty because it happens to sit on what he views as his personal fiefdom. These Socialist destroyers of our capitalist system are determined to take a wrecking ball to capitalism and one certain method for so doing is to destroy the concept of private property rights. Once that happens, you will not recognize the country you were born and raised in. As the author concludes, it is far “better for Congress to stay out of our homes.”

The cost of Crap and Tax to the American taxpayer will be absolutely staggering and the fear mongers lamely blame the now thoroughly debunked bugaboo of global warming as the trumped up excuse to wreak economic havoc and misery on the American citizen ( see the Climategate Rant of 12/20/09 or the Copenhagen Climate Conference Rant of 1/24/10). The entire global warming-Al Gore crowd has been exposed for exactly what it is: advocates of huge, intrusive government with an extreme hatred of capitalism and all things deemed to smack of Americanism. All this notwithstanding, The Center on Budget Priorities and Policy has, “approximated the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to result in a $750 annual increase to America’s poorest families due to higher energy prices (Cap-and Trade Effects on Our Nation’s Economy in http://hubpages.com). The piece, written by one Anglfire693, notes that the, “poorest families in America use less energy than the average American family,” and cautions, “if that is the financial burden placed on them, imagine what the annual cost to the rest of Americans would be.” While the Congressional Budget Office estimates a $1,600 annual raise in the cost of living for a typical household,” the author points out that other studies calculate those costs at much higher levels.

The same author, however, does more than merely point out the monetary issues involved but illustrates very plainly how this cap and trade debacle limits our choices and our very freedom which is exactly what Obama and the Boys are working so feverishly to cause. Like all authoritarians and champions of huge, intrusive government they want to – make that need to – create a population completely dependent on Big Brother to provide every conceivable want and necessity. They envision cradle to grave custodianship of all of our choices as their particular brand of utopia and what we deem to be right, proper, and prudent matters not a whit to them.

In their arrogant and condescending approach to governance, we are the little, small minded folks who need to be led around by the nose because only THEY know what’s best for us. As Anglfire693 so aptly notes, our entire way of life as a free people is threatened. Care for an example? Certainly. We’re all acutely aware of the Left’s championing of ethanol as a “green” alternative to fossil fuels and most of us know that it is nothing more than an absolute crock! Corn, a major ingredient in the manufacture of ethanol, is a major food staple in this nation and, therefore, is a huge crop. The more corn we divert from our food supply means the less there is to consume. This would inevitably, “increase the cost of corn,” and not only do Americans eat huge amounts of the stuff, “it feeds our livestock,” and we would see considerable increases in the cost of food, groceries, and dining out. Gasoline prices would also rise dramatically. Nah, this Crap and Tax scam really won’t hurt that badly, will it?

The piece cites Senator Inhofe’s dire warning that the plan to change climate control constitutes, “a direct threat to America’s way of life.” Furthermore, the Cap and Trade boondoggle would, “hinder our ability to fly to remote locations and that and that there would be few automobiles that would be capable of pulling campers, boats, jet skies, snowmobiles, and such.” The entire RV industry would, obviously, “become a thing of the past.” The writer correctly submits that if, “this is what we allow to happen, climate fluctuations will not matter in regards to recreation because Americans will not have the means to recreate.” Care to hear just a tad more? Tough,‘cause here it comes and as the writer remarks, “the list of negative affects is unending,” and, “American life as we know it will change.” We’ll witness the real probability, “of increased crime and depression and potential increases in suicide rates amongst Americans,” which will in turn lead to, “increases in insurance premiums and health care costs.”

Please understand that these are not in any manner, shape, or form merely the unintended consequences of our futile attempts to deal with this lie called anthropomorphic global warming but instead are absolutely planned, well thought out, and purposeful with only one possible conclusion: the demise of this great nation! As the author succinctly points out, “the proposed solutions to global warming will have a negative ripple affect throughout every aspect of American life. And for what? There is still no proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide are the cause of Global Warming.”

An organization called the American Coal Council is one of the main voices of our coal industry. In a 2009 piece entitled, “Impact of Cap & Trade Bill on U.S. Economy(www.clean-coal.info),” the group explains that the proposed bill, “will have profound negative impacts on energy availability, energy costs, and overall economic health of the country.” The negative impacts illustrate one overwhelming, inescapable fact: if implemented, Crap & Tax will severely reduce the freedom of all Americans to live as they see fit and fully take advantage of the myriad opportunities that accrue from residing in the freest country God ever gave mankind! This is undeniable and is not open to debate or interpretation. If Obama succeeds then America will surely fail which is precisely why I, like Rush Limbaugh and so many others, fervently hope and pray for this American President to fail! The only other American Presidents that caused such a negative reaction from me was that peanut farmer from Georgia and the other guy who couldn’t keep it in his pants!

The Council correctly predicts that the scheme will, “force energy costs to rise precipitously.” For example, by 2020, natural gas prices will rise by 39% and will shoot up to an increase of 56% five years later. Just as alarmingly, motor fuels will rise by 48 cents and then 74 cents per gallon for the same period. Electricity costs are also not immune from the grasp of the Socialist-in-Chief. They will spike by 27% in 2020 and five years later will reach a whopping 44% increase. Unless these Liberals are defeated, we are witnessing the end of American life as we have known it ever since we told England to take a hike in 1776! These bastards can’t be compromised or reasoned with but must be massively and completely destroyed. It is a “them or us” scenario and the stakes are nothing less than individual liberty and freedom.

Should we fail to accomplish this so many, if not all, of those little things that we unthinkingly and routinely do on a daily basis will all be virtually nothing more than fond memories of days gone by. Our grandchildren will never experience the freedoms that we have known and their lives and the country will in no manner resemble our own. We will have become the last generation of free Americans. How will our descendants manage to do the most simple of things like stay warm in the winter or cool in the summer? How will they be able to jump in the family automobile to visit friends and family on a mere whim? Those vacations that we all love so much will be something our grandkids will only have heard about for they will not be able to avail themselves of these kinds of luxuries. They’ll be far too busy working those extra hours or second and third jobs just to pay for the barest of life’s necessities.

This translates into nothing less than a grotesque loss of freedom and opportunity, two of the mainstays of American Exceptionalism. These have been the central attraction for million and millions of immigrants from every nation in the world yearning to share our soon to be gone and overwhelming blessings. While “El Destructo” pledges that his useless “stimulus” boondoggles would halt unemployment at no more than 8%, for example, it now hovers at just shy of 10% with no end in sight as long as Liberals are steering the vessel! Does this sound like freedom and opportunity to you? The American Coal Council warns that this Cap and Trade program will further raise that figure and that, “net job losses-inclusive of those jobs created by increased funding of renewable energy-will rise to 800,000 in 2015 then more than double by 2020, to 1.9 million, and rocket to approximately 3.2 million by 2025.” I am firmly convinced that these projections, as depressing as they are, won’t even come close to being accurate when reality finally forces far too many Americans to finally stop living in a state of utter denial. What used to the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave is quickly morphing into the Land of the Slave and Home of the Weak and Downtrodden!!

Alex Walker wrote a piece entitled, “Cap and Trade – The Real Inconvenient Truth (http://thepoliticizer.com) in which he raises a number of salient issues that provide even further insight as to just where those Liberal America-Haters want to take us and to what lengths they’ll go in their lock-step march towards freedom’s demise and destruction. He notes, as have many others, that virtually no one who supported and signed the House version of Crap & Tax knows what the Hell’s in it and states that, “it is inconceivable to me that a group of people can justifiably understand and make decisions on a fifteen hundred-page document in only a few days.” He’s right, of course. No one can. These schmucks could not possibly have had time to read and comprehend the proposed legislation before blindly – like trained circus animals – signing it and sending it along to our august upper deliberative legislative body. The author makes a dangerous error for he is apparently looking for reason and logic where none exists. This will eventually drive him insane. Just accept these Democrat fools for exactly who they truly are: mind-numbed robots and zombies whose last original thoughts suffered excruciating deaths from acute loneliness! These people are merely sheep following their shepherd who, when they get unruly, sets loose the dogs. They are no more than lemmings blindly careening over the cliff because their leader got a bug up his ass about something!

The author also characterizes Cap & Trade as the single highest tax increase in this country’s history but also tells us it is really nothing new. He correctly maintains that it is a highly regressive tax that, “touches every family in the country after the fact that businesses will be forced to pay for their carbon outputs.” These taxes will, of course, be passed along to the consumer as are all business costs. As previously noted, while this will affect all Americans, it is the poor and their families who will feel the biggest burdens. Walker lets us know that this carbon based bullshit is already a tried and true failure and has never worked anywhere it’s been implemented. He informs us that we, “need look no further than the many countries that have used the cap on carbon tax and discovered that the method had economic consequences.”

He offers as an example the, “Dutch silicon carbide maker that sells itself as the greenest such plant in the world but now can’t afford to run full time,” and the, “French garment workers who fear they’re going to lose jobs to Morocco, which doesn’t have to meet the European guidelines.” He gives us the, “German homeowners who pay 25 percent more in electricity than they did before, even after utility companies earned record profits.” Obama and his minions know and understand this full well and are delighted by it. The truth is they couldn’t give a rat’s ass about so-called global warming, carbon emissions and the reduction thereof, or any other damned thing.

They see this entire scam as but one more way to impoverish this nation and its citizens for the purpose of creating even greater dependence on government. Like all authoritarian types, freedom, liberty, and choice are anathema and must be abandoned and destroyed in favor of a supreme, centralized authority that dictates all aspects of our lives from cradle to grave! This is what we have to look forward to if Obama succeeds and especially if he is voted a second term.

Care to step away from the “big picture” for a moment and focus attention a bit more narrowly? It’s instructive. Mike Miller in his article, “Stop the Cap-and Trade Plan: Voters Oppose the Proposal by Wide Margins (www.newsminer.com).” He insists that Alaska’s, “Congressional delegation should oppose the energy-rationing, cap-and-trade bill that passed the U.S. House of Representatives last year . . . and move on to more viable efforts that will help, not hurt, Alaska small businesses, workers, and families.” He published some of the major conclusions drawn by an outfit known as the National Federation of Independent Businesses such as: 57% of voters oppose the cap and trade scheme; 45% believe it will only increase joblessness; 64% believe cap and trade would cause even higher energy prices; 50% believe it will severely limit economic growth; and a successful implementation of this Socialist vision will destroy almost 2,500,000 jobs and reduce your gross domestic product by something around $3.1 trillion!

Miller also goes international when he declares, “the evidence shows that cap and trade won’t work.” He explains that in, “European countries operating under cap and trade systems, unemployment rates have gone up while reduction in carbon emissions have not materialized.” He illustrates, as have others, that burgeoning economic giants like China and India have rejected out of hand any scheme that could place limits on economic growth and, “without these nations on board, even sweeping actions here in the United States would have literally no beneficial effect on the planet.” But hey, Obama and his fellow conspirators already knew that.

Let’s take a look at this thoroughly destructive scheme in the state of New Mexico. Mario Burgos (www.marioburgos.com) explains the obvious when he says, “make no mistake this is an additional fee that will be ultimately passed on to you and me – the consumer – at the pump. Whenever the government seeks to impose fees to help with some grand scheme, we are the ones who find ourselves squeezed.” Cap and trade, he continues, will, “force a decline in oil and gas production in the state,” which will inevitably, “result in additional taxes.” He predicts that New Mexico will experience, “yet higher prices at the pump, and for that matter, all transportation related costs (read: food).” Predictably, these, “higher prices will squeeze the working poor and middle class families the hardest.” Ready for some more? Too damned bad, because here it comes. Let’s take a brief gander at Kentucky as related by Tom Martin in his, “Weighing the Pros and Cons of Cap-and-Trade (www.bizlex.com).” He concludes that options due to the Cap and Trade tax proposal lay somewhere between, “painful and painful.” The author alarmingly but accurately reports that Kentucky, “would lose as many as 23,000 jobs in 2020 and nearly 50,000 jobs in 2030,” while, “disposable household income would be reduced by as much as $2,500 per year in 2020 and up to $6,000 by 2030.”

He informs us that gasoline prices in Kentucky, “would increase between 74 percent and 144 percent in 2020,” and the cost of electricity, “would increase by between 122 percent and 159 percent.” The cost for natural gas would spike, “between 99percent and 142 percent,” by 2030. I’m sure that Daniel Boone had an easier time killing that “bar” than modern day Kentuckians will have paying for their utility bills. The dismal future envisioned in just these few states are, of course, not restricted exclusively to them. There won’t be a state in this once proud and grand Union that won’t feel the dire consequences of this phony, bullshit scheme just as there will not be a single citizen of the country that won’t be negatively impacted. Please remember, folks, that this will be no accident, no mere twist of fate. It is purposefully destructive, willfully subversive, and stunningly Machiavellian! Always keep Obama’s end-game in the forefront of your minds for it motivates his every action, dominates all of his schemes and machinations, and is the ultimate goal of his entire being!

He wants to utterly destroy the United States of America and bring it to its knees! There are those of us who as far back as the early Chicago days who knew this and we sent up the signal flares but not enough Americans heeded the warning. If the Huckster-in-Chief wins a second term, I fear he will succeed in implementing his pernicious goals. Christopher S. Bond rounds off our brief look at a few states in his, “Cap and Trade: Negative impact on Missouri (www.semissourian.com).” Remarking at the President’s presence at the Copenhagen Climate Conference, Bond observes that, “while I am sure that the new Nobel laureate basks in the international glow and favorable European attention, I hope he remembers the needs of Missouri families and workers here at home. . . .” Chris, my man, here’s a little heads up for you – not a chance this side of Hell! The author notes that unemployment rates stand at around 10% and that, “experts predict that cap-and-trade will kill over 2 million jobs nationwide, many of them blue-collar manufacturing on which middle-income Missouri families depend.” He points out that while for now at least, the climate legislation is, “stalled in the Senate, advocates are trying to go through the back door with new government regulations.”

Bond warns that, “the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued a new carbon regulation that will result in expensive and burdensome requirements on not only manufacturing facilities, but also farms, universities, hospitals, commercial and apartment buildings, even bakeries and donut shops.” The kicker is that major polluters like India and China are absolutely refusing to get on board any new carbon reduction schemes and that, “the most discouraging thing to me is that all of this economic pain would come with no environmental gain.” Scientists have already concluded that the, “U.S. acting alone . . . will have no measurable impact on world temperatures.” He opines that such a state of affairs will absolutely and inevitably, “send U.S. jobs overseas. An agreement forcing the U.S. to abandon affordable energy sources, like the coal-based power that fuels Missouri’s mills and assembly lines as well as families’ heating needs, will impose job-killing cost increases.”

Once again, we must remember that the tax and crap swindle is no more than a Liberal bill of goods and is being implemented for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with preserving a healthy environment. It’s all about forcibly changing the behavior of Americans that this administration finds odious and misdirected. It’s all about destruction, not preservation. It constitutes nothing less than a method for greatly expanding the role of an already too powerful, centralized government and sacrificing our freedom on the alter of the so-called greater good. A piece by one John Palatiello, “The Folly of Cap and Trade (http://baconsrebellion.com), sums it up nicely. It will, “impose massive control over the lives of Americans, such as imposing restrictions on the size of our homes, restrictions on air travel, determining the kind of car we may own without paying a penalty, controlling our thermostats to limit usage of air conditioning and even how we cut our lawns.”

The author cites a scheme contemplated in England that would have involved the use of something like a carbon debit card. Each citizen would be given an annual allotment of carbon to be used and every possible transaction would be recorded for the purpose of subtracting the carbon used from the allotment. The shit hits the fan when the card is maxed out. One method, Palatiello goes on to say, “could be personal carbon-allowances, where everyone was given a fixed amount of carbon to be used each year. Each time they travel on a plane, buy petrol, go shopping or eat out could be recorded on a plastic card. The more frugal could sell spare carbon to those who want to indulge themselves. But if you were to run out of your carbon allowance, you would be barred from flying or driving.” Does this sound like freedom to you? Does this sound like choice to you? Or does it sound more like creeping fascism and totalitarianism?

Too many Americans seemingly don’t reflect on the ramifications of this monstrosity and fail to appreciate the devastating nature of the changes it will cause in their everyday lives. Life will become drastically different and we’re not talking legacy here. We’re not looking fifty to one hundred years down the road but rather a time period as short as a decade from the point this legislation is enacted. The author of a piece entitled, “Cap and Trade – Higher taxes for Everyone and it Won’t Solve Global Warming (www.completelyright.com), asks, “How will that impact the average person?” That really is the essential question. Why should any of us as individuals actually give a damn about a carbon tax or global warming? These are huge issues with seemingly very complex solutions. The threat seems to exist in some distant future, so why worry about it now? We’re all busy with jobs, running our businesses, raising families, and just the ups and downs of everyday life. Let the guys who get paid the big bucks and pontificate in the halls of government figure it all out. Let those who hold “chairs” in academia worry about the grand and lofty issues. Just leave us little guys alone to guzzle our beer and stock up on ammo!

That’s exactly what the LFE (Liberal Fucking Elites) want from us. Apathy and a willingness to blindly follow! These grand thinkers were to the manor born. They are the masters and we are the lowly field hands who must always defer to our betters. They dismiss grass roots movements by groups like the Tea Party folks as a mere display of petulance tinged with a serious dose of severe crankiness. They’re more than willing to let us little folks blow off some steam every so often as long as in the end we remain docile and compliant. In their ever present condescension and arrogance, They have failed to properly gauge our anger at what they’ve done and will continue to do to our magnificent country.

The author of the Completely Right piece is just one of many who provide us with the ammunition we need, the grist for our mill, that guarantees that the simmer will turn into a full boil with the heat remaining on high! He notes that business in America will be devastated by schemes like Cap and Trade and none more than our utility companies. Those businesses rely to a large extent on burning coal in power plants. He explains, “if the government forces the power companies to pay the government for the right to emit, then the power companies will pass that on to the consumer – and everyone’s electric bill will go up.” In a capitalist economy, this doesn’t just make sense, it is supremely logical. The writer insists that this is only the tip of the iceberg because, “businesses that use electricity (and I don’t know too many that don’t!) will also have its cost of business rise, since the business itself is seeing a higher utility bill as well.” He asks how might these businesses react to such a circumstance? They would necessarily be forced to raise their prices or cut, “the cost of their business in other areas (layoffs, perhaps).” Either way, “it’s a negative on the economy.” He sums up by warning that, “the Obama cap and trade proposal is in effect a tax on carbon that will impact every business and therefore every citizen in the United States, by making everything more expensive.”

Talk about your classic command and control! The old Soviet Empire had nothing on our current President, the Anointed One! Finally, the piece concludes that as a, “result of this plan, U.S. business will become less able to compete with other businesses in the world where governments do not force them to pay a carbon tax.” As a result, “businesses in the U.S. will therefore be hurt dramatically – particularly in more energy-intensive areas like manufacturing.” In order to, “better compete, many corporations will therefore choose to relocate their more energy-intensive activities to more business friendly nations.” The Boy Wonder who sometimes resides on Pennsylvania Avenue keeps promising to enact measures and policies that will significantly reduce the nation’s level of unemployment but examples like Crap and Tax starkly illustrate that just the opposite is the case and it is not accidental. It fits in beautifully with his overriding desire to bring this nation down and reduce it to the level of at least socialized western Europe! He despises America and any all who still cherish and revere its history, traditions, and institutions. That an American President should harbor these feelings about our country is frightening in the extreme and yet even more worrisome is actually how many Americans went to the polls a mere two years ago and voted him into office!

I know a gentleman who escaped from Castro’s Cuba when he was around twenty five years old. Like so many Cubans, he arrived after a perilous journey in a less than sea worthy vessel with nothing but the clothes he wore and not a penny to his name. By dint of amazingly hard work he accomplished what so many immigrants have done through the years. He became fluent in English, educated himself, earned American citizenship, and acquired the skills he’d need to succeed in his new home. Well, that’s certainly an old and familiar tale, but he tells me that for the first time since he arrived all those years ago, he’s actually afraid.

He knows full well and first hand what life is like in a country where the government is all powerful. He is finding too many parallels between what the Chosen One has planned for us and what Castro did to Cuba! It’s time to be afraid, very afraid and do something about it or one day we’re going to wake up and ask ourselves, “what the Hell happened!?!:” (On an encouraging note, the results of the mid-term elections now seem finalized and the entire map of the country is all but awash in red. Remember, however, after similar results in 1994, the Democrats managed to retain the White House – and that is simply no longer an option, not for those of us who deeply love this country!)
