THE LAW OF THE SEA TREATY RANT

Well, here we go again. I promised myself that after my last anti-United Nations screed, I was done with that horribly anti-American, anti-Western, tyrant-infested, freedom-destroying, humanity-killing outrage. No more, basta, enough! I figured I was pretty much “UNed” out. After all, how much time can one spend ranting and railing about that crime against mankind situated on New York City’s Turtle Bay? In previous postings (see: The United Nations Rant of 12/22/08; The United Nations Human Rights Council Rant of 12/19/10; The Agenda 21 Rant of 7/18/12; and The United Nations International Gun Control Treaty Rant of 8/22/12), I have written at some length about that venal and corrupt body and have argued that it is no more than a sovereignty-destroying entity whose main goal seems to be the utter decimation of the United States and other Western democracies. I have noted its glaring and astounding failure to even live up to its own charter. I have explained that as a peace-keeping body it is a complete and abject bust and that its record as a humanitarian organization is equally dismal. It does not prevent nations from regularly and routinely attempting to butcher one another, it cannot stop wars once hostilities have gone beyond the blathering stage, and its vain efforts to ease mankind’s eternal suffering have failed on all fronts.

It is easily the least effective international forum on the planet since old Adolph told the defunct League of Nations to go fuck itself! The UN is filled with Globalists, One-Worlders, Socialists, and Communists who view the concept of sovereign, independent nation-states as an anachronism whose time has long since come and gone. Apparently, all decisions regarding issues facing the world must come from international – or even supranational – institutions and organizations whose wisdom, knowledge, and expertise must be far superior to those of any single nation, state, or country. Decisions affecting the planet must come only from world-wide forums and not from countries selfishly pursuing their own narrow, parochial, and puerile goals. The world simply has no place for a lone super-power anymore, especially if that power happens to be the United States.

The vast majority of UN membership views our country as the single most evil and destructive force in planetary history with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. We are continually mocked, ridiculed, and criticized by that body’s General Assembly whose membership, by the by, is populated for the most part by thuggish, murderous, and rogue nations whose leaders have absolutely no respect for the sanctity, dignity, or value of human life. These countries are ruled by jack-booted thugs who live like royalty while their populations are left to starve to death or die from diseases long since eradicated in the more affluent, educated, and enlightened Western world. The vast majority of UN members regularly engage in brutal internecine warfare that leaves the streets – where streets actually exist – running red with the blood of largely innocent victims. These nations receive literally billions per year in foreign aid most of it, of course, in the form of American dollars, food, and material which is invariably stolen by the leaders of these Third World Shitholes who live in such affluence and luxury as to make old Louis XIV or Marie Antoinette blush with shame. The Security Council of the United Nations – both permanent and rotating members – is made up of nations who are at best merely lukewarm in their relationships with the United States and at worst are our sworn enemies whose fondest dream is to witness America’s downfall. Hell, just about the entire eastern bloc at the UN refers to America as the Great Satan and literally danced with joy when those jets slammed into the Twin Towers some thirteen years ago.

Why, then, do we put up with this state of affairs? Why do we still pay a whopping 25%of that body’s operating expenses to say nothing of the extraordinary cost of supporting the UN’s pathetic attempts at peace-keeping? Why do we belong to an organization whose membership is for the most part so openly hostile to everything and anything our country stands for and represents? Would you belong to a club in which most of the members view you as an enemy, a force that must be isolated and destroyed? Would you pay to build the “clubhouse” on your property right in your own backyard? Exactly. Yet this is precisely what we have been doing since the UN’s founding shortly after World War ll came to a screeching and screaming halt. And make no mistake. The United States won that war on both fronts. Do we really think that England and France could have taken down Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan if we hadn’t jumped in and saved their sorry, war-torn asses? We saved the world including all of the UN’s current membership and for this we are continually reviled, rebuked, and ridiculed.

We are forever held in the lowest of esteem by our fellow members of the United Nations. We are repeatedly lambasted and looked down upon by these total and venal piss-ants who have the temerity, the “chutzpah”, to demand that we modify our attitudes and behavior to better meet the needs and desires of two-bit, tin-horn dictators, mass murderers, and absolutely psychotic sociopaths. None of the UN membership is good enough to even lick our boots let alone kiss our collective ass in any manner, shape, or form. They can’t compete with us on any plane. Not economically, not militarily, and certainly not in the realm of providing freedom, safety, and security for their own citizens. We constitute the world’s foremost example of a successful nation and we are the penultimate measure of what the rest of the world should strive for and emulate. Millions upon millions of people recognize this the world over and constantly prove it by attempting to come, live, and work here both legally and illegally. How many other nations can make this claim? China? Russia? Fucking Zimbabwe? Yeah, right!

We are the one the globe looks to when problems arise. We are the one that the world demands feed it, clothe it, support it economically and if needs be militarily. When the world cries out for aid, we are the one that responds first with the most. No other nation can even come close to us for bringing progress and relief to the worlds less fortunate. We are the one more than any other planetary force that has relieved mankind’s suffering and we are the one that literally set hundreds of millions of people free from the cruel yoke of tyranny that has been the unfortunate lot of most of the planet’s population since Homo Sapiens became the dominant global species. Nobody else – just us! And for this, our fellow United Nations members gleefully SHIT ALL OVER US EVERY CHANCE THEY GET!! Why do we put up with this?

Well, I’ll tell ya why. Our major institutions in this country are controlled by a relatively small group of Liberal Fucking Elites (LFE) and while their members may be small, the influence they wield is substantial. These Scum-Dogs have a vice-like grip on all of our major institutions. These would include: the media, both print and electronic; our entertainment industry; our educational system from pre-school through university and beyond; our political institutions; and our news and information services. These Far Left, ultra Liberal Collectivists direct and control virtually every nugget of information that filters down to the “great unwashed.” They feed the ignorant amongst us only their version and interpretation of events and trends to the exclusion of all other points of view and explanations. They are America’s own home-grown Globalists and One-Worlders who completely agree with their foreign counterparts. These American citizens have no love at all for their own country, refuse to accept the fact that we have been a force for good since our creation, and will not acknowledge the very real concept of American Exceptionalism (see The American Exceptionalism Rant of 11/7/11).

They will not – cannot – acknowledge that without the United States, the world would be in far worse shape than it is now and they believe that America has been the cause of all the world’s major problems and disasters. According to these “Americans”, we are racist, homophobic, jingoistic, and xenophobic. We have despoiled Mother Earth, stolen the natural resources that rightfully belong to our Brown Brothers in Third World countries, and we are the cause of every disaster on the planet – man-made or natural. They absolutely believe that America needs to be taken down a peg or twenty, delight when the United States suffers reverses and defeats, and fervently believe that we are certainly no better and probably far worse than the most loathsome and vicious tyrannical, dictatorial government that presently inhabits the globe. These are the Americans who blamed us for 9-11 and seriously put forth the proposition that the United States deserved it as punishment for the sins and atrocities we have visited upon the world.

While these home-grown loathers of their own country may in fact be a minority in America, they are certainly not within the United Nations where hatred for us runs very far and very, very deep. Our “American” brothers and sisters are quite at home in that environment, are very comfortable hobnobbing with foreigners who despise the United States, and feel absolutely no shame or remorse by the fact that they are nothing more than traitors to America’s historic role in the world. These anti-America Americans (see The American Who Hate America Rant of 1/21/11), the LFE, need the UN to validate their own unpatriotic attitudes toward the United States and believe that we must be governed and controlled not by our own institutions and traditions but rather should surrender American sovereignty and autonomy to international organizations like the United Nations or the World Court. They believe that our nation’s capital should not be located in the District of Columbia but rather at the Hague. They believe in what’s come to be called Global Governance and that individual nation-states have no place in the 21st Century. They view themselves as ever so sophisticated and urbane and that we “little folk” should submit to their will and dictates for only they know what’s best for the rest of mankind. They are arrogant and condescending in the extreme and are light years ahead of those who believe in such quaint notions as patriotism, pride in country, and nationalism. According to them, the concept of the sovereign, independent, nation-state is just oh-so passe and that we common slobs out here are simply not capable of grasping that reality. We must, therefore, be led or driven to submit to their vision and view of the world.

So what, then, brings me to this latest anti-UN screed and caused me to break my not so solemn promise referenced above? It would be the Law of the Sea Treaty Rant (LOST), yet another blatant United Nations power grab designed to do nothing more than further destroy American sovereignty, independence, and power. LOST, by the way, is nothing new but rather goes back literally decades. Thus far, while certain of our Presidents have actually pushed for ratification of the treaty, these efforts have thankfully been unsuccessful. Nevertheless, the Liberals and One-Worlders among us keep up their efforts for they are if nothing else extremely persistent. They are bound and determined to get this monstrosity through the Senate and surrender still more American authority and power to those who despise us and wish us harm. In an article entitled, “Malkin: With Treaty, Obama Aims to Cede U.S. Ocean Sovereignty to U.N.(http://lubbockonline.com)" Michelle Malkin notes that the 20th Century’s greatest President, Ronald Reagan, also recine.com.)ognized the threat to America that is LOST. He utterly rejected that abomination and warned that, “no national interest of the United States would justify handing sovereign control of two-thirds of the Earth’s surface over to the Third World.”

Reagan, never one to mince words, firmly believed that the Law of the Sea Treaty constituted no more than an obvious, “effort to promote global government at the expense of sovereign nation states – and most especially the United States.” Malkin correctly posits that LOST would create, “a massive United Nations bureaucracy that would draw ocean boundaries, impose environmental regulations and restrict business on the high seas.” The author goes on to insist that, “crucial national security decisions about our naval and drilling operations would be subject to the vote of 162 other signatories, including Cuba, China, and Russia.” Yeah, how’d you like to see these three totalitarian, international gangster nations in any way directing the fate of the United States? Yet the Liberals amongst us and especially our Socialist-in-Chief get positively orgasmic about even contemplating such an eventuality. Don’t ever forget who these people are. They despise our country and will do everything and anything they can to bring us to our knees. Malkin concludes her piece by stating that, “LOST is a radical giveaway of American sovereignty in the name of environmental protection,” and, “it should be sunk once and for all.”

In a piece entitled, “U.S. Must Reject Law of the Sea Treaty (http://dyn.realclearpolitics.com)),” author Edwin Feulner explains that, “LOST’s proponents . . . tend to be fans of superfluous international agreements, and they frequently back policies that would tie the hands of the United States and prevent us from acting in our own interests.” Mr. Feulner, a former director of the esteemed Heritage Foundation, quotes one-time Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld who noted that, “the Obama administration has promoted the Law of the Sea Treaty and seems to have bought into the false nobility of global governance.” He queried, “Why should the American people support leaders who put American interests on an equal footing with foreign interests? Aren’t they elected to represent we the people, not we the world?” And there you have it. Rumsfeld speaks to and for the nationalists among us, those who put American interests first and foremost, above and beyond all else. We truly believe – because it has been proven time and again – that what is good for America is indeed good for the world. We know to and beyond a moral certainty that America has done more to advance the cause of humanity than any other nation in history. This is not a matter of conjecture or mere opinion. It is one of the world’s undeniable truths that can’t be objectively disputed, argued with, or seriously denied.

Those of us who feel this way cannot even begin to fathom the concept that far too many of our fellow Americans do not, will not, and cannot grasp this defining national trait and characteristic. We are and have been throughout most of our history a good and compassionate people who wish the world no ill will in the slightest. We would like to see the rest of the so-called family of nations rise up to our level rather than remain forever stuck in the eternal muck and mire of poverty, squalor, and tyranny. We are more than pleased to act as an example for the world to follow, emulate, and admire for we have always been a beacon of light in a world of darkness and despair. It is completely beyond our ken to realize that so many of our fellow citizens can’t grasp this immutable fact. These are the One-Worlders and Globalists among us. These comprise those self-hating Americans who continually and tragically agree with our enemies around the world. These are the folks who would have us surrender our sovereignty, our greatness, and our exceptionalism to the Internationalists at the UN who favor such monstrosities as the Law of the Sea Treaty.

In what’s referred to as an Issue Brief, the Center for Sovereignty & Security published a piece entitled, “Ratifying UN Law of the Sea Treaty Would Harm U.S. Sovereignty, Part 1 (www.freedomalliance.org),” author Thomas W. Jacobson explains that what, “LOST did was to create an international entity similar to the United Nations to supersede the sovereignty of nations and exercise governing authority over most of the Earth’s surface.” The writer maintains that if the United States does not ratify this treaty then our present status remains fairly stable and unchanged. America will, “retain all of its sovereign rights over its territorial waters, continental shelf, and the airspace above, plus all rights in and above international waters recognized in international law.” Well then, what seems to be the problem? The problem is those Americans who deeply desire to change the existing status-quo to the tremendous disadvantage of the United States. The piece explains that if we do ratify LOST then, “all of the rights mentioned above are restricted and regulated by the ISA [International Seabed Authority which is a creation of the Law of the Sea Treaty] and its member nations, and the USA would become just one voice with one vote among 163 nations, with no veto power, and far less influence than it enjoys in other international bodies such as the United Nations Security Council.” So, how does it sound so far? As you can imagine, it only gets worse. Additionally, “Any American plans for exploration or exploitation of resources within international waters would require Council approval, which could also stop operations at any time.” The United States would, therefore, be at the mercy of an organization whose members openly and actively despise this country. Our actions and activities as a proud, free, and sovereign nation would be severely curtailed and yet there exist Americans among us who fervently desire that LOST be ratified by the United States Senate. We used to call these folks subversives. I still do.

Moreover, if this anti-American treaty is ever ratified by our Senate, LOST would, “exercise oversight of the United States and American companies in international waters, and be authorized to take any measure necessary to force them into compliance with what they view as Treaty obligations.” Forced into compliance? Do we understand what this means? On top of it all, if we ratify this treaty, “it denies that the freedom of navigation and overflight of the high seas are inalienable” and that our, “national security would be compromised because U.S. Navy vessels could not interdict, on the high seas, ships under the control of terrorists or enemy governments, including ships carrying weapons of mass destruction.” That there exist American citizens who are perfectly willing and eager to weaken our nation by signing onto this horror show is disturbing in the extreme. That there actually exist U.S. Senators who would be delighted and even excited to ratify LOST is actually frightening. That these folks are Far Left Liberals and Globalists certainly comes as no great surprise. Part 1 of this piece concludes by noting that ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty, “reveals many ways the U.S. government would sacrifice inherent liberties and national sovereignty if it ratifies LOST.”

Part 2 of the above referenced Issue Brief is even more disturbing and ominous for it reveals the ultimate Socialist and anti-Capitalist underpinnings of the Law of the Sea Treaty. The Socialists among us have long championed the loathsome concept of wealth redistribution. This theory posits that the wealth one has earned and accumulated does not really belong to those who have worked for it. It has long been illogically and falsely claimed that those of us who have acquired more than others have done so unfairly and even criminally and thus don’t have a right to keep the fruits of our labor, persistence, drive, and dedication. In fact, the successful are accused of achieving that exalted status by stealing from the backs of the poor and therein lies the illogic. How can one possibly steal from the poor when by definition the poor have nothing to steal? It makes not one whit of sense yet constitutes one of the mainstays of Socialism wherever it exists, including the United States. These Statists and Collectivists view themselves as latter day Robin Hoods and it’s high time someone explained to them that in the end, Robin Hood was no more than a fucking thief!

The essence of Socialism is to punish those who work hard, achieve, and produce while rewarding those who do not. Taking from the rich and giving to the poor sounds grand and deeply compassionate when in reality it is anything but. Giving “stuff” to those who didn’t earn it is to keep them perpetually at little more than subsistence levels. It does them no favors and teaches all the wrong lessons. It keeps them forever dependent on government hand-outs, creates a permanent and servile underclass which has become Liberalism’s largest voting bloc in America, and fosters a sense of class envy, jealousy, and warfare. It destroys any sense of independence, self-reliance, and pride people may have once had and creates no more than mind-numbed lemmings who do the bidding of those in charge of giving out the goodies. In nations that have succumbed to this travesty, the results are always more than just a little positive for the ruling classes while devastating for those they rule. Perpetual poverty, squalor, and civil unrest become defining elements in nations that have gone this route. It’s inevitable and is happening here in America under our own Collectivist-in-Chief.

LOST, then, fits in beautifully with the desires of those Socialists in our midst for in many ways it is no more than a massive wealth redistribution scheme on a global scale. Part 2 of the above notes that if, “the USA ratifies LOST, the U.S. government will initiate possibly the greatest wealth transfer in history, providing without oversight or accountability millions or billions of dollars to developing nations.” This is because our taxes would fund about 25% of the cost of implementing the Law of the Sea Treaty above and beyond the billions we already waste in UN dues. This amounts to nothing more than a foreign and usually hostile entity taxing the American people. It constitutes but one more way of further weakening and degrading the United States which, by the way, is exactly what the Far Left so fervently desires. Additionally, these funds, “could be given to enemy nations and those who harbor terrorists. Thus, the USA could find itself funding military or terrorist operations against our own country.” Now there’s a comforting thought. The author of the piece concludes that it, “is difficult, if not impossible, to discern any benefit by ratifying LOST that is not exceedingly outweighed by detrimental effects.” Exactly, and that is precisely why those of the LFE want ratification to go through the Senate!

While that august body has thus far rejected all attempts to ratify LOST, this provides little comfort given the fact that we have a Democrat controlled Senate and a President who consistently places the interests of other nations above and beyond that of our own. Obama sees himself as more of a world leader than an American one, has literally denied the concept of American Exceptionalism, and has toured the planet apologizing for our very existence. To him, we are just one more nation among many and therefore must subordinate our narrow and parochial needs to those of the world. He places far more credence in the legitimacy and authority of organizations like the United Nations than he does in our own institutions. He sees himself more as a global citizen rather than an American citizen and for this reason he actively supports Senate ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty. He is fully cognizant of the fact that this would severely curtail American sovereignty and weaken our ability to act in our own self-interest and deal with our enemies. He is a prime example of the Blame America First Crowd, consistently behaves in ways that harm us, and fervently desires to reduce our nation’s hegemony in world affairs.

A piece entitled, “The Law of the Sea Treaty: LOST (http://www.akdart.com),” maintains that the, “Obama administration wants Senators to suspend common sense and ignore real and legitimate concerns about the deleterious impact of the Law of the Sea Treaty on our sovereignty, economic interests and potentially even our national security.” This really comes as no surprise given the Socialist-in-Chief’s priorities and anti-Americanism. The piece describes LOST as an Obama-backed UN treaty, “which would subordinate U.S. naval and drilling operations beyond 200 miles of our coast to a newly established U.N. bureaucracy.” It would be able to, “regulate deep-sea oil exploration and seabed mining.” Additionally, “as part of the deal, as much as 7% of US government revenue collected from oil and gas companies operating off our coast will be forked over . . . for redistribution to poorer, landlocked countries.” This apparently is in, “penance for America’s audacity in perpetuating prosperity yielded by our industrial revolution.”

Do we understand what this means? This international boondoggle is going to punish us for our success. We will be castigated for becoming the world’s wealthiest, most powerful, and most generous nation in history. Apparently, the good we have done has done us no damned good at all. This is global Socialism pure and simple. We are seen as no more than a wealthy target, a sucker to be fleeced by those nations that have not been as successful as America. It is no more than class envy and jealousy writ world-wide. Take from those who have legitimately earned it and give it – redistribute – to those that have not. It is certainly one thing for us of our own volition and good-heartedness to provide foreign assistance to those less fortunate than ourselves. To impose a global tax on American citizens who have absolutely no say in the matter and no choice is quite another. This is clear and blatant coercion disguised as international humanitarianism and nothing more.

The same piece also posits that LOST is nothing more than, “an international agreement certain to cripple America’s energy economy. Ratifying LOST not only means losing national sovereignty, it would mean losing jobs. If the United States enters this agreement, it would mean giving up billions in oil and gas royalties to be redistributed among developing and landlocked nations – some of whom are state sponsors of terror.” Given all of LOST’s negative impact on our nation, the realization that an American President and a sizable chunk of our United States Senate favors ratification should be a clear signal as to just how far we have fallen as a country. That powerful forces and individuals in America would sell us out to hostile members of the United Nations is more than just a little bit telling. It is an unerring predictor of where this nation is headed if the LFE is not thoroughly defeated in the United States. In my darker moments, however, I fear that it is already too late and that we have reached the point of no return.

An article entitled, “Will U.S. Sovereignty Be Lost At Sea? Obama Supports U.N. Treaty That Redistributes Drilling Revenues (http://forbes.com),” also exposes this Socialist scheme to severely reduce America’s sovereignty, independence, and power which is, of course, enthusiastically supported by our Sorry-Ass excuse of a President. In my admittedly biased and hostile view, that man has had as his central objective the destruction of the United States as historically founded and at least up to now presently constituted. Like all good and “true believers,” he desires nothing less than the degradation of the United States and absolutely denies the good we have done on the world stage. I can’t think of one policy of his that has not been designed to purposely and effectively harm this country and relegate it to the ash-heap of the Once Great Nations Club. This seems to be the force that drives him more than any other and he and his toadies and lackeys have been amazingly successful in pursuit of that goal.

I’ve heard it said that Obama is no more than a bungling and bumbling neophyte who has not a clue as how to govern and that he simply does not understand the unintended harm his policies have wrought on the United States. To this I respond with a rousing and heartfelt, “BULLSHIT!” This man is focused like a red hot laser on his objective and his target has been painted and lit. Unfortunately, that target is us! His overriding and far too successful governing philosophy is to do so much irreparable harm to the United States that it can’t be undone even after he is no longer steering the ship and state. Oh, and just for shits and giggles, I’m willing to bet some serious money that when he is done ripping America a new asshole from his perch on Pennsylvania Avenue, he will actively campaign to become the first “American” Secretary General of the United Nations and can thus bring his anti-America agenda to entirely new levels of destructiveness. Anybody out there wanna make just a small wager or two?

The article notes that LOST is actively supported by Obama and that if ratified it, “will subordinate U.S. naval and drilling operations beyond 200 miles of our coast to a newly established U.N. bureaucracy,” which will have, “the power to regulate deep-sea oil exploration, seabed mining, and fishing rights.” In other words, American sovereignty gets flushed right down the toilet of Globalism and International Socialism which will render us virtually incapable of pursuing our own national interests and will leave us totally impotent to do anything about it should our Democrat Senate ever ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty. The piece also explains that the U.S. taxpayer would be turning over billions if not trillions of dollars without having any voice in the decision to do so. No discussion, no debate, and no vote. If this does not constitute some form of Fascism-Totalitarianism, then nothing does. If this does not severely weaken our country, then nothing will. It is a raw and undisguised attempt to leave us powerless in the face of our enemies and encourages only further encroachment on our freedom to act as an independent, sovereign state. This is precisely why Obama and his Fellow Travelers so ardently hope and pray that the U.S. Senate sells us out to the forces of One-Worldism and Internationalism. It fits perfectly with their overriding agenda of doing us harm.

The Forbes piece continues that LOST, “embodies the progressive ideal of subordinating the sovereignty of nation states to the authoritarian dictates of a world body. The U.S. would have one vote out of 160 regarding where our money would go, and be obligated to hand over offshore technology to any nation that wants it . . . for free.” Well, how about that? We’d have no choice in the matter. American skill, ingenuity, and risk all combined to create and implement our offshore technology and yet if LOST is ratified, we would be forced to give it away gratis! This is nothing more than outright Socialism on steroids! It is both anti-Capitalist and virulently anti-American and that is precisely why our pathetic excuse of a President wants to see it ratified. He will and has done everything in his power to weaken this country because he sincerely believes we deserve it!

The article goes on to ask, “And who are those lucky international recipients?” The easy answer is that they, “will most likely include such undemocratic, despotic, and brutal governments as Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, Sudan, and Zimbabwe . . . all current voting members of LOST.” After all, explains author Larry Bell, “The treaty was originally drafted in 1968 at the behest of the Soviet bloc and Third World dictators interested in implementing a scheme to weaken U.S. power and transferring wealth from industrialized countries to the developing world.” Not much has changed since 1968, for our enemies both here and abroad are still trying to get the damned thing through our Senate. The only American President who saw through the entire scheme was, of course, Ronaldus Maximus who recognizing this, “as a global grab . . . thought it was such a lousy idea that he not only refused to sign it, but actually fired the State Department staff that helped negotiate it.” God bless that man!

As previously noted, the UN’s Law of the Sea Treaty has failed to get through the Senate ratification process which has certainly stymied Obama and his cronies who are forever chomping at the bit to weaken our country every chance they get. Remember, however, that our Destroyer-in-Chief is acutely adept at circumventing the normal legislative processes, ignoring the will of the American people, and behaving in ways more akin to authoritarian tyrants, monarchs, and dictators. After all, he wishes not to govern but rather to rule and he and his groupies regard our Constitution as nothing more than an impediment and an obstacle to his dream of socializing our country and thus destroying the single greatest Constitutional Republic ever seen in global history. He is determined to make LOST the law of the land and simply needs an appropriate method for doing so. Not to worry, for our Saboteur-in-Chief is nothing if not resourceful. When all else fails, Obama resorts to the old standby of governing via Executive Order or fiat. Once a President, any President, signs such an order it has the full force of law without having to worry about such silly, pesky things as the consent of the governed or the legislative process.

A piece entitled, “Obama, Clinton Selling Out U.S. Sovereignty in Secret (http://americanfreepress.net),” notes that while today we are not on board LOST, “this situation may change if Obama sidesteps the Constitution yet again via executive order.” Once the order has been signed, thus avoiding that annoying ratification process, the treaty has, “the same status as constitutional law and cannot be altered or eclipsed by Congress or state legislatures. And their provisions must be enforced by U.S. courts.” Another article, “Obama Signs Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) into Law via Executive Order (http://stories-etc.com),” maintains that because, “of the decades of difficulty that the collectivists have had trying to ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), Obama is sneaking it through the back door by way of his Executive Order,” and that, “Obama’s Executive Order is a soft law tactic to enact the LOST treaty.” To paraphrase an old movie, “We don’t need no stinking ratification process!”

Yet another article entitled, “John Kerry Hands American Sovereignty to the United Nations (http://eaglerising.com),” beautifully sums up the attitude displayed by His Majesty Barrack. This unending habit of by-passing and ignoring the rules, “just continues the long train of abuses committed by the Obama administration against the American people, where our representatives are ignored, and the will of the President is treated as paramount.” The article explains that the Democrat Party and the media, “allow President Obama to act as a monarch. Whether it’s with his excessive abuses of the Executive Orders issued from his office, or his decision to delay the implementation of law with hardly a by your leave from the legislature.” The article concludes by correctly insisting that this, “is the most Imperial Presidency in over one-hundred years. The President ‘rules’ by his word. He simply makes proclamations, and they come to pass – no debate, no negotiation, and no recourse for the American people. He rules by fiat.” No real surprise here, for if Obama and the Boys were actually honest about their intentions, they’d never have been elected in the first place – I hope.

Well, then, what to do, what to do? I believe there is only one real option. We must absolutely get the Hell out of the United Nations and get the U.N. the fuck out of the United States! That’s it. There is simply no other solution if we are to save our sovereignty and ability to act as a free and independent nation pursuing our unique national interests. Does that sound like too radical or bold a move to some of you? I think not, for I am not alone in this opinion. In a piece entitled, “American Law or UN Law (http://www.lewrockwell.com),” author Ron Paul warns that, “rest assured that the UN will continue to interfere not only in our nation’s foreign policy matters, but in our domestic policies as well. UN globalists are not satisfied by meddling only in international disputes. They increasingly want to influence our domestic environmental, trade, labor, tax, and gun laws. UN global planners fully intend to expand the organization into a true world government, complete with taxes, courts, and possibly a standing army.” Paul continues that this is not merely, “an alarmist statement: these goals are readily promoted on the UN’s own website. UN planners do not care about national sovereignty; in fact they are openly opposed to it. They correctly view it as an obstacle to their plans. They simply aren’t interested in our Constitution and republican form of government.” While he is absolutely correct, unfortunately far too many Americans are no longer interested in these things either. Paul continues that we have a clear choice. Simply put, “we either follow the Constitution or submit to UN global governance. American national sovereignty cannot survive if we allow our domestic laws to be crafted or even influenced by an international body.” In fact, “If we continue down the UN path, America as we know it will cease to exist.” He’s right folks, and there’s no denying it. No way – no how.

We are quickly reaching that dreaded point of no return and if the Law of the Sea Treaty is ever adopted by the United States, we will have plunged over the precipice. We are so close to losing our country that it’s actually terrifying and yet virtually no Americans have ever even heard of LOST. They, therefore, cannot possibly understand what it means or the dire consequences it portends for our sovereignty and thus for our very existence as an independent and autonomous country. Yes, it is that serious but there are those among us who actively seek that outcome. They truly believe that we should be ruled-governed by international bodies like the United Nations because they cannot abide the concept of an America that leads the world and is proud to do so. The folks who espouse Globalism, One-Worldism, and Internationalism are, in fact, our enemies and tragically far too many of them are American citizens. A piece entitled, “The Creature From The Ocean’s Floor – The Law Of the Sea Treaty (http://www.libertynewsonline.com),” accurately explains that LOST, “has been created and written specifically to undercut America’s sovereignty and move us toward global governance and a New World Order where the constitutional rights of the American people, our national sovereignty and the military power of the United States would be subordinated to the whims of a group of corrupt, unelected third-world bureaucrats who have no interest in Freedom and Liberty.”

The Law of the Sea Treaty flies in the face of all that has made America the leader of the world. This United Nations sanctioned atrocity is no more than a blatant Globalist tactic and strategy to relegate the United States to the status of yet another historic relic that held sway for a time but is now no longer relevant. If we allow the Liberals among us to win this fight by embracing LOST, then our country is indeed LOST!!
