THE LAW OF THE SEA TREATY RANT

Well, here we go again. I promised myself that after my last anti-United Nations screed, I was done with that horribly anti-American, anti-Western, tyrant-infested, freedom-destroying, humanity-killing outrage. No more, basta, enough! I figured I was pretty much “UNed” out. After all, how much time can one spend ranting and railing about that crime against mankind situated on New York City’s Turtle Bay? In previous postings (see: The United Nations Rant of 12/22/08; The United Nations Human Rights Council Rant of 12/19/10; The Agenda 21 Rant of 7/18/12; and The United Nations International Gun Control Treaty Rant of 8/22/12), I have written at some length about that venal and corrupt body and have argued that it is no more than a sovereignty-destroying entity whose main goal seems to be the utter decimation of the United States and other Western democracies. I have noted its glaring and astounding failure to even live up to its own charter. I have explained that as a peace-keeping body it is a complete and abject bust and that its record as a humanitarian organization is equally dismal. It does not prevent nations from regularly and routinely attempting to butcher one another, it cannot stop wars once hostilities have gone beyond the blathering stage, and its vain efforts to ease mankind’s eternal suffering have failed on all fronts.

It is easily the least effective international forum on the planet since old Adolph told the defunct League of Nations to go fuck itself! The UN is filled with Globalists, One-Worlders, Socialists, and Communists who view the concept of sovereign, independent nation-states as an anachronism whose time has long since come and gone. Apparently, all decisions regarding issues facing the world must come from international – or even supranational – institutions and organizations whose wisdom, knowledge, and expertise must be far superior to those of any single nation, state, or country. Decisions affecting the planet must come only from world-wide forums and not from countries selfishly pursuing their own narrow, parochial, and puerile goals. The world simply has no place for a lone super-power anymore, especially if that power happens to be the United States.

The vast majority of UN membership views our country as the single most evil and destructive force in planetary history with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. We are continually mocked, ridiculed, and criticized by that body’s General Assembly whose membership, by the by, is populated for the most part by thuggish, murderous, and rogue nations whose leaders have absolutely no respect for the sanctity, dignity, or value of human life. These countries are ruled by jack-booted thugs who live like royalty while their populations are left to starve to death or die from diseases long since eradicated in the more affluent, educated, and enlightened Western world. The vast majority of UN members regularly engage in brutal internecine warfare that leaves the streets – where streets actually exist – running red with the blood of largely innocent victims. These nations receive literally billions per year in foreign aid most of it, of course, in the form of American dollars, food, and material which is invariably stolen by the leaders of these Third World Shitholes who live in such affluence and luxury as to make old Louis XIV or Marie Antoinette blush with shame. The Security Council of the United Nations – both permanent and rotating members – is made up of nations who are at best merely lukewarm in their relationships with the United States and at worst are our sworn enemies whose fondest dream is to witness America’s downfall. Hell, just about the entire eastern bloc at the UN refers to America as the Great Satan and literally danced with joy when those jets slammed into the Twin Towers some thirteen years ago.

Why, then, do we put up with this state of affairs? Why do we still pay a whopping 25%of that body’s operating expenses to say nothing of the extraordinary cost of supporting the UN’s pathetic attempts at peace-keeping? Why do we belong to an organization whose membership is for the most part so openly hostile to everything and anything our country stands for and represents? Would you belong to a club in which most of the members view you as an enemy, a force that must be isolated and destroyed? Would you pay to build the “clubhouse” on your property right in your own backyard? Exactly. Yet this is precisely what we have been doing since the UN’s founding shortly after World War ll came to a screeching and screaming halt. And make no mistake. The United States won that war on both fronts. Do we really think that England and France could have taken down Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan if we hadn’t jumped in and saved their sorry, war-torn asses? We saved the world including all of the UN’s current membership and for this we are continually reviled, rebuked, and ridiculed.

We are forever held in the lowest of esteem by our fellow members of the United Nations. We are repeatedly lambasted and looked down upon by these total and venal piss-ants who have the temerity, the “chutzpah”, to demand that we modify our attitudes and behavior to better meet the needs and desires of two-bit, tin-horn dictators, mass murderers, and absolutely psychotic sociopaths. None of the UN membership is good enough to even lick our boots let alone kiss our collective ass in any manner, shape, or form. They can’t compete with us on any plane. Not economically, not militarily, and certainly not in the realm of providing freedom, safety, and security for their own citizens. We constitute the world’s foremost example of a successful nation and we are the penultimate measure of what the rest of the world should strive for and emulate. Millions upon millions of people recognize this the world over and constantly prove it by attempting to come, live, and work here both legally and illegally. How many other nations can make this claim? China? Russia? Fucking Zimbabwe? Yeah, right!

We are the one the globe looks to when problems arise. We are the one that the world demands feed it, clothe it, support it economically and if needs be militarily. When the world cries out for aid, we are the one that responds first with the most. No other nation can even come close to us for bringing progress and relief to the worlds less fortunate. We are the one more than any other planetary force that has relieved mankind’s suffering and we are the one that literally set hundreds of millions of people free from the cruel yoke of tyranny that has been the unfortunate lot of most of the planet’s population since Homo Sapiens became the dominant global species. Nobody else – just us! And for this, our fellow United Nations members gleefully SHIT ALL OVER US EVERY CHANCE THEY GET!! Why do we put up with this?

Well, I’ll tell ya why. Our major institutions in this country are controlled by a relatively small group of Liberal Fucking Elites (LFE) and while their members may be small, the influence they wield is substantial. These Scum-Dogs have a vice-like grip on all of our major institutions. These would include: the media, both print and electronic; our entertainment industry; our educational system from pre-school through university and beyond; our political institutions; and our news and information services. These Far Left, ultra Liberal Collectivists direct and control virtually every nugget of information that filters down to the “great unwashed.” They feed the ignorant amongst us only their version and interpretation of events and trends to the exclusion of all other points of view and explanations. They are America’s own home-grown Globalists and One-Worlders who completely agree with their foreign counterparts. These American citizens have no love at all for their own country, refuse to accept the fact that we have been a force for good since our creation, and will not acknowledge the very real concept of American Exceptionalism (see The American Exceptionalism Rant of 11/7/11).

They will not – cannot – acknowledge that without the United States, the world would be in far worse shape than it is now and they believe that America has been the cause of all the world’s major problems and disasters. According to these “Americans”, we are racist, homophobic, jingoistic, and xenophobic. We have despoiled Mother Earth, stolen the natural resources that rightfully belong to our Brown Brothers in Third World countries, and we are the cause of every disaster on the planet – man-made or natural. They absolutely believe that America needs to be taken down a peg or twenty, delight when the United States suffers reverses and defeats, and fervently believe that we are certainly no better and probably far worse than the most loathsome and vicious tyrannical, dictatorial government that presently inhabits the globe. These are the Americans who blamed us for 9-11 and seriously put forth the proposition that the United States deserved it as punishment for the sins and atrocities we have visited upon the world.

While these home-grown loathers of their own country may in fact be a minority in America, they are certainly not within the United Nations where hatred for us runs very far and very, very deep. Our “American” brothers and sisters are quite at home in that environment, are very comfortable hobnobbing with foreigners who despise the United States, and feel absolutely no shame or remorse by the fact that they are nothing more than traitors to America’s historic role in the world. These anti-America Americans (see The American Who Hate America Rant of 1/21/11), the LFE, need the UN to validate their own unpatriotic attitudes toward the United States and believe that we must be governed and controlled not by our own institutions and traditions but rather should surrender American sovereignty and autonomy to international organizations like the United Nations or the World Court. They believe that our nation’s capital should not be located in the District of Columbia but rather at the Hague. They believe in what’s come to be called Global Governance and that individual nation-states have no place in the 21st Century. They view themselves as ever so sophisticated and urbane and that we “little folk” should submit to their will and dictates for only they know what’s best for the rest of mankind. They are arrogant and condescending in the extreme and are light years ahead of those who believe in such quaint notions as patriotism, pride in country, and nationalism. According to them, the concept of the sovereign, independent, nation-state is just oh-so passe and that we common slobs out here are simply not capable of grasping that reality. We must, therefore, be led or driven to submit to their vision and view of the world.

So what, then, brings me to this latest anti-UN screed and caused me to break my not so solemn promise referenced above? It would be the Law of the Sea Treaty Rant (LOST), yet another blatant United Nations power grab designed to do nothing more than further destroy American sovereignty, independence, and power. LOST, by the way, is nothing new but rather goes back literally decades. Thus far, while certain of our Presidents have actually pushed for ratification of the treaty, these efforts have thankfully been unsuccessful. Nevertheless, the Liberals and One-Worlders among us keep up their efforts for they are if nothing else extremely persistent. They are bound and determined to get this monstrosity through the Senate and surrender still more American authority and power to those who despise us and wish us harm. In an article entitled, “Malkin: With Treaty, Obama Aims to Cede U.S. Ocean Sovereignty to U.N.(http://lubbockonline.com)" Michelle Malkin notes that the 20th Century’s greatest President, Ronald Reagan, also recine.com.)ognized the threat to America that is LOST. He utterly rejected that abomination and warned that, “no national interest of the United States would justify handing sovereign control of two-thirds of the Earth’s surface over to the Third World.”

Reagan, never one to mince words, firmly believed that the Law of the Sea Treaty constituted no more than an obvious, “effort to promote global government at the expense of sovereign nation states – and most especially the United States.” Malkin correctly posits that LOST would create, “a massive United Nations bureaucracy that would draw ocean boundaries, impose environmental regulations and restrict business on the high seas.” The author goes on to insist that, “crucial national security decisions about our naval and drilling operations would be subject to the vote of 162 other signatories, including Cuba, China, and Russia.” Yeah, how’d you like to see these three totalitarian, international gangster nations in any way directing the fate of the United States? Yet the Liberals amongst us and especially our Socialist-in-Chief get positively orgasmic about even contemplating such an eventuality. Don’t ever forget who these people are. They despise our country and will do everything and anything they can to bring us to our knees. Malkin concludes her piece by stating that, “LOST is a radical giveaway of American sovereignty in the name of environmental protection,” and, “it should be sunk once and for all.”

In a piece entitled, “U.S. Must Reject Law of the Sea Treaty (http://dyn.realclearpolitics.com)),” author Edwin Feulner explains that, “LOST’s proponents . . . tend to be fans of superfluous international agreements, and they frequently back policies that would tie the hands of the United States and prevent us from acting in our own interests.” Mr. Feulner, a former director of the esteemed Heritage Foundation, quotes one-time Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld who noted that, “the Obama administration has promoted the Law of the Sea Treaty and seems to have bought into the false nobility of global governance.” He queried, “Why should the American people support leaders who put American interests on an equal footing with foreign interests? Aren’t they elected to represent we the people, not we the world?” And there you have it. Rumsfeld speaks to and for the nationalists among us, those who put American interests first and foremost, above and beyond all else. We truly believe – because it has been proven time and again – that what is good for America is indeed good for the world. We know to and beyond a moral certainty that America has done more to advance the cause of humanity than any other nation in history. This is not a matter of conjecture or mere opinion. It is one of the world’s undeniable truths that can’t be objectively disputed, argued with, or seriously denied.

Those of us who feel this way cannot even begin to fathom the concept that far too many of our fellow Americans do not, will not, and cannot grasp this defining national trait and characteristic. We are and have been throughout most of our history a good and compassionate people who wish the world no ill will in the slightest. We would like to see the rest of the so-called family of nations rise up to our level rather than remain forever stuck in the eternal muck and mire of poverty, squalor, and tyranny. We are more than pleased to act as an example for the world to follow, emulate, and admire for we have always been a beacon of light in a world of darkness and despair. It is completely beyond our ken to realize that so many of our fellow citizens can’t grasp this immutable fact. These are the One-Worlders and Globalists among us. These comprise those self-hating Americans who continually and tragically agree with our enemies around the world. These are the folks who would have us surrender our sovereignty, our greatness, and our exceptionalism to the Internationalists at the UN who favor such monstrosities as the Law of the Sea Treaty.

In what’s referred to as an Issue Brief, the Center for Sovereignty & Security published a piece entitled, “Ratifying UN Law of the Sea Treaty Would Harm U.S. Sovereignty, Part 1 (www.freedomalliance.org),” author Thomas W. Jacobson explains that what, “LOST did was to create an international entity similar to the United Nations to supersede the sovereignty of nations and exercise governing authority over most of the Earth’s surface.” The writer maintains that if the United States does not ratify this treaty then our present status remains fairly stable and unchanged. America will, “retain all of its sovereign rights over its territorial waters, continental shelf, and the airspace above, plus all rights in and above international waters recognized in international law.” Well then, what seems to be the problem? The problem is those Americans who deeply desire to change the existing status-quo to the tremendous disadvantage of the United States. The piece explains that if we do ratify LOST then, “all of the rights mentioned above are restricted and regulated by the ISA [International Seabed Authority which is a creation of the Law of the Sea Treaty] and its member nations, and the USA would become just one voice with one vote among 163 nations, with no veto power, and far less influence than it enjoys in other international bodies such as the United Nations Security Council.” So, how does it sound so far? As you can imagine, it only gets worse. Additionally, “Any American plans for exploration or exploitation of resources within international waters would require Council approval, which could also stop operations at any time.” The United States would, therefore, be at the mercy of an organization whose members openly and actively despise this country. Our actions and activities as a proud, free, and sovereign nation would be severely curtailed and yet there exist Americans among us who fervently desire that LOST be ratified by the United States Senate. We used to call these folks subversives. I still do.

Moreover, if this anti-American treaty is ever ratified by our Senate, LOST would, “exercise oversight of the United States and American companies in international waters, and be authorized to take any measure necessary to force them into compliance with what they view as Treaty obligations.” Forced into compliance? Do we understand what this means? On top of it all, if we ratify this treaty, “it denies that the freedom of navigation and overflight of the high seas are inalienable” and that our, “national security would be compromised because U.S. Navy vessels could not interdict, on the high seas, ships under the control of terrorists or enemy governments, including ships carrying weapons of mass destruction.” That there exist American citizens who are perfectly willing and eager to weaken our nation by signing onto this horror show is disturbing in the extreme. That there actually exist U.S. Senators who would be delighted and even excited to ratify LOST is actually frightening. That these folks are Far Left Liberals and Globalists certainly comes as no great surprise. Part 1 of this piece concludes by noting that ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty, “reveals many ways the U.S. government would sacrifice inherent liberties and national sovereignty if it ratifies LOST.”

Part 2 of the above referenced Issue Brief is even more disturbing and ominous for it reveals the ultimate Socialist and anti-Capitalist underpinnings of the Law of the Sea Treaty. The Socialists among us have long championed the loathsome concept of wealth redistribution. This theory posits that the wealth one has earned and accumulated does not really belong to those who have worked for it. It has long been illogically and falsely claimed that those of us who have acquired more than others have done so unfairly and even criminally and thus don’t have a right to keep the fruits of our labor, persistence, drive, and dedication. In fact, the successful are accused of achieving that exalted status by stealing from the backs of the poor and therein lies the illogic. How can one possibly steal from the poor when by definition the poor have nothing to steal? It makes not one whit of sense yet constitutes one of the mainstays of Socialism wherever it exists, including the United States. These Statists and Collectivists view themselves as latter day Robin Hoods and it’s high time someone explained to them that in the end, Robin Hood was no more than a fucking thief!

The essence of Socialism is to punish those who work hard, achieve, and produce while rewarding those who do not. Taking from the rich and giving to the poor sounds grand and deeply compassionate when in reality it is anything but. Giving “stuff” to those who didn’t earn it is to keep them perpetually at little more than subsistence levels. It does them no favors and teaches all the wrong lessons. It keeps them forever dependent on government hand-outs, creates a permanent and servile underclass which has become Liberalism’s largest voting bloc in America, and fosters a sense of class envy, jealousy, and warfare. It destroys any sense of independence, self-reliance, and pride people may have once had and creates no more than mind-numbed lemmings who do the bidding of those in charge of giving out the goodies. In nations that have succumbed to this travesty, the results are always more than just a little positive for the ruling classes while devastating for those they rule. Perpetual poverty, squalor, and civil unrest become defining elements in nations that have gone this route. It’s inevitable and is happening here in America under our own Collectivist-in-Chief.

LOST, then, fits in beautifully with the desires of those Socialists in our midst for in many ways it is no more than a massive wealth redistribution scheme on a global scale. Part 2 of the above notes that if, “the USA ratifies LOST, the U.S. government will initiate possibly the greatest wealth transfer in history, providing without oversight or accountability millions or billions of dollars to developing nations.” This is because our taxes would fund about 25% of the cost of implementing the Law of the Sea Treaty above and beyond the billions we already waste in UN dues. This amounts to nothing more than a foreign and usually hostile entity taxing the American people. It constitutes but one more way of further weakening and degrading the United States which, by the way, is exactly what the Far Left so fervently desires. Additionally, these funds, “could be given to enemy nations and those who harbor terrorists. Thus, the USA could find itself funding military or terrorist operations against our own country.” Now there’s a comforting thought. The author of the piece concludes that it, “is difficult, if not impossible, to discern any benefit by ratifying LOST that is not exceedingly outweighed by detrimental effects.” Exactly, and that is precisely why those of the LFE want ratification to go through the Senate!

While that august body has thus far rejected all attempts to ratify LOST, this provides little comfort given the fact that we have a Democrat controlled Senate and a President who consistently places the interests of other nations above and beyond that of our own. Obama sees himself as more of a world leader than an American one, has literally denied the concept of American Exceptionalism, and has toured the planet apologizing for our very existence. To him, we are just one more nation among many and therefore must subordinate our narrow and parochial needs to those of the world. He places far more credence in the legitimacy and authority of organizations like the United Nations than he does in our own institutions. He sees himself more as a global citizen rather than an American citizen and for this reason he actively supports Senate ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty. He is fully cognizant of the fact that this would severely curtail American sovereignty and weaken our ability to act in our own self-interest and deal with our enemies. He is a prime example of the Blame America First Crowd, consistently behaves in ways that harm us, and fervently desires to reduce our nation’s hegemony in world affairs.

A piece entitled, “The Law of the Sea Treaty: LOST (http://www.akdart.com),” maintains that the, “Obama administration wants Senators to suspend common sense and ignore real and legitimate concerns about the deleterious impact of the Law of the Sea Treaty on our sovereignty, economic interests and potentially even our national security.” This really comes as no surprise given the Socialist-in-Chief’s priorities and anti-Americanism. The piece describes LOST as an Obama-backed UN treaty, “which would subordinate U.S. naval and drilling operations beyond 200 miles of our coast to a newly established U.N. bureaucracy.” It would be able to, “regulate deep-sea oil exploration and seabed mining.” Additionally, “as part of the deal, as much as 7% of US government revenue collected from oil and gas companies operating off our coast will be forked over . . . for redistribution to poorer, landlocked countries.” This apparently is in, “penance for America’s audacity in perpetuating prosperity yielded by our industrial revolution.”

Do we understand what this means? This international boondoggle is going to punish us for our success. We will be castigated for becoming the world’s wealthiest, most powerful, and most generous nation in history. Apparently, the good we have done has done us no damned good at all. This is global Socialism pure and simple. We are seen as no more than a wealthy target, a sucker to be fleeced by those nations that have not been as successful as America. It is no more than class envy and jealousy writ world-wide. Take from those who have legitimately earned it and give it – redistribute – to those that have not. It is certainly one thing for us of our own volition and good-heartedness to provide foreign assistance to those less fortunate than ourselves. To impose a global tax on American citizens who have absolutely no say in the matter and no choice is quite another. This is clear and blatant coercion disguised as international humanitarianism and nothing more.

The same piece also posits that LOST is nothing more than, “an international agreement certain to cripple America’s energy economy. Ratifying LOST not only means losing national sovereignty, it would mean losing jobs. If the United States enters this agreement, it would mean giving up billions in oil and gas royalties to be redistributed among developing and landlocked nations – some of whom are state sponsors of terror.” Given all of LOST’s negative impact on our nation, the realization that an American President and a sizable chunk of our United States Senate favors ratification should be a clear signal as to just how far we have fallen as a country. That powerful forces and individuals in America would sell us out to hostile members of the United Nations is more than just a little bit telling. It is an unerring predictor of where this nation is headed if the LFE is not thoroughly defeated in the United States. In my darker moments, however, I fear that it is already too late and that we have reached the point of no return.

An article entitled, “Will U.S. Sovereignty Be Lost At Sea? Obama Supports U.N. Treaty That Redistributes Drilling Revenues (http://forbes.com),” also exposes this Socialist scheme to severely reduce America’s sovereignty, independence, and power which is, of course, enthusiastically supported by our Sorry-Ass excuse of a President. In my admittedly biased and hostile view, that man has had as his central objective the destruction of the United States as historically founded and at least up to now presently constituted. Like all good and “true believers,” he desires nothing less than the degradation of the United States and absolutely denies the good we have done on the world stage. I can’t think of one policy of his that has not been designed to purposely and effectively harm this country and relegate it to the ash-heap of the Once Great Nations Club. This seems to be the force that drives him more than any other and he and his toadies and lackeys have been amazingly successful in pursuit of that goal.

I’ve heard it said that Obama is no more than a bungling and bumbling neophyte who has not a clue as how to govern and that he simply does not understand the unintended harm his policies have wrought on the United States. To this I respond with a rousing and heartfelt, “BULLSHIT!” This man is focused like a red hot laser on his objective and his target has been painted and lit. Unfortunately, that target is us! His overriding and far too successful governing philosophy is to do so much irreparable harm to the United States that it can’t be undone even after he is no longer steering the ship and state. Oh, and just for shits and giggles, I’m willing to bet some serious money that when he is done ripping America a new asshole from his perch on Pennsylvania Avenue, he will actively campaign to become the first “American” Secretary General of the United Nations and can thus bring his anti-America agenda to entirely new levels of destructiveness. Anybody out there wanna make just a small wager or two?

The article notes that LOST is actively supported by Obama and that if ratified it, “will subordinate U.S. naval and drilling operations beyond 200 miles of our coast to a newly established U.N. bureaucracy,” which will have, “the power to regulate deep-sea oil exploration, seabed mining, and fishing rights.” In other words, American sovereignty gets flushed right down the toilet of Globalism and International Socialism which will render us virtually incapable of pursuing our own national interests and will leave us totally impotent to do anything about it should our Democrat Senate ever ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty. The piece also explains that the U.S. taxpayer would be turning over billions if not trillions of dollars without having any voice in the decision to do so. No discussion, no debate, and no vote. If this does not constitute some form of Fascism-Totalitarianism, then nothing does. If this does not severely weaken our country, then nothing will. It is a raw and undisguised attempt to leave us powerless in the face of our enemies and encourages only further encroachment on our freedom to act as an independent, sovereign state. This is precisely why Obama and his Fellow Travelers so ardently hope and pray that the U.S. Senate sells us out to the forces of One-Worldism and Internationalism. It fits perfectly with their overriding agenda of doing us harm.

The Forbes piece continues that LOST, “embodies the progressive ideal of subordinating the sovereignty of nation states to the authoritarian dictates of a world body. The U.S. would have one vote out of 160 regarding where our money would go, and be obligated to hand over offshore technology to any nation that wants it . . . for free.” Well, how about that? We’d have no choice in the matter. American skill, ingenuity, and risk all combined to create and implement our offshore technology and yet if LOST is ratified, we would be forced to give it away gratis! This is nothing more than outright Socialism on steroids! It is both anti-Capitalist and virulently anti-American and that is precisely why our pathetic excuse of a President wants to see it ratified. He will and has done everything in his power to weaken this country because he sincerely believes we deserve it!

The article goes on to ask, “And who are those lucky international recipients?” The easy answer is that they, “will most likely include such undemocratic, despotic, and brutal governments as Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, Sudan, and Zimbabwe . . . all current voting members of LOST.” After all, explains author Larry Bell, “The treaty was originally drafted in 1968 at the behest of the Soviet bloc and Third World dictators interested in implementing a scheme to weaken U.S. power and transferring wealth from industrialized countries to the developing world.” Not much has changed since 1968, for our enemies both here and abroad are still trying to get the damned thing through our Senate. The only American President who saw through the entire scheme was, of course, Ronaldus Maximus who recognizing this, “as a global grab . . . thought it was such a lousy idea that he not only refused to sign it, but actually fired the State Department staff that helped negotiate it.” God bless that man!

As previously noted, the UN’s Law of the Sea Treaty has failed to get through the Senate ratification process which has certainly stymied Obama and his cronies who are forever chomping at the bit to weaken our country every chance they get. Remember, however, that our Destroyer-in-Chief is acutely adept at circumventing the normal legislative processes, ignoring the will of the American people, and behaving in ways more akin to authoritarian tyrants, monarchs, and dictators. After all, he wishes not to govern but rather to rule and he and his groupies regard our Constitution as nothing more than an impediment and an obstacle to his dream of socializing our country and thus destroying the single greatest Constitutional Republic ever seen in global history. He is determined to make LOST the law of the land and simply needs an appropriate method for doing so. Not to worry, for our Saboteur-in-Chief is nothing if not resourceful. When all else fails, Obama resorts to the old standby of governing via Executive Order or fiat. Once a President, any President, signs such an order it has the full force of law without having to worry about such silly, pesky things as the consent of the governed or the legislative process.

A piece entitled, “Obama, Clinton Selling Out U.S. Sovereignty in Secret (http://americanfreepress.net),” notes that while today we are not on board LOST, “this situation may change if Obama sidesteps the Constitution yet again via executive order.” Once the order has been signed, thus avoiding that annoying ratification process, the treaty has, “the same status as constitutional law and cannot be altered or eclipsed by Congress or state legislatures. And their provisions must be enforced by U.S. courts.” Another article, “Obama Signs Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) into Law via Executive Order (http://stories-etc.com),” maintains that because, “of the decades of difficulty that the collectivists have had trying to ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), Obama is sneaking it through the back door by way of his Executive Order,” and that, “Obama’s Executive Order is a soft law tactic to enact the LOST treaty.” To paraphrase an old movie, “We don’t need no stinking ratification process!”

Yet another article entitled, “John Kerry Hands American Sovereignty to the United Nations (http://eaglerising.com),” beautifully sums up the attitude displayed by His Majesty Barrack. This unending habit of by-passing and ignoring the rules, “just continues the long train of abuses committed by the Obama administration against the American people, where our representatives are ignored, and the will of the President is treated as paramount.” The article explains that the Democrat Party and the media, “allow President Obama to act as a monarch. Whether it’s with his excessive abuses of the Executive Orders issued from his office, or his decision to delay the implementation of law with hardly a by your leave from the legislature.” The article concludes by correctly insisting that this, “is the most Imperial Presidency in over one-hundred years. The President ‘rules’ by his word. He simply makes proclamations, and they come to pass – no debate, no negotiation, and no recourse for the American people. He rules by fiat.” No real surprise here, for if Obama and the Boys were actually honest about their intentions, they’d never have been elected in the first place – I hope.

Well, then, what to do, what to do? I believe there is only one real option. We must absolutely get the Hell out of the United Nations and get the U.N. the fuck out of the United States! That’s it. There is simply no other solution if we are to save our sovereignty and ability to act as a free and independent nation pursuing our unique national interests. Does that sound like too radical or bold a move to some of you? I think not, for I am not alone in this opinion. In a piece entitled, “American Law or UN Law (http://www.lewrockwell.com),” author Ron Paul warns that, “rest assured that the UN will continue to interfere not only in our nation’s foreign policy matters, but in our domestic policies as well. UN globalists are not satisfied by meddling only in international disputes. They increasingly want to influence our domestic environmental, trade, labor, tax, and gun laws. UN global planners fully intend to expand the organization into a true world government, complete with taxes, courts, and possibly a standing army.” Paul continues that this is not merely, “an alarmist statement: these goals are readily promoted on the UN’s own website. UN planners do not care about national sovereignty; in fact they are openly opposed to it. They correctly view it as an obstacle to their plans. They simply aren’t interested in our Constitution and republican form of government.” While he is absolutely correct, unfortunately far too many Americans are no longer interested in these things either. Paul continues that we have a clear choice. Simply put, “we either follow the Constitution or submit to UN global governance. American national sovereignty cannot survive if we allow our domestic laws to be crafted or even influenced by an international body.” In fact, “If we continue down the UN path, America as we know it will cease to exist.” He’s right folks, and there’s no denying it. No way – no how.

We are quickly reaching that dreaded point of no return and if the Law of the Sea Treaty is ever adopted by the United States, we will have plunged over the precipice. We are so close to losing our country that it’s actually terrifying and yet virtually no Americans have ever even heard of LOST. They, therefore, cannot possibly understand what it means or the dire consequences it portends for our sovereignty and thus for our very existence as an independent and autonomous country. Yes, it is that serious but there are those among us who actively seek that outcome. They truly believe that we should be ruled-governed by international bodies like the United Nations because they cannot abide the concept of an America that leads the world and is proud to do so. The folks who espouse Globalism, One-Worldism, and Internationalism are, in fact, our enemies and tragically far too many of them are American citizens. A piece entitled, “The Creature From The Ocean’s Floor – The Law Of the Sea Treaty (http://www.libertynewsonline.com),” accurately explains that LOST, “has been created and written specifically to undercut America’s sovereignty and move us toward global governance and a New World Order where the constitutional rights of the American people, our national sovereignty and the military power of the United States would be subordinated to the whims of a group of corrupt, unelected third-world bureaucrats who have no interest in Freedom and Liberty.”

The Law of the Sea Treaty flies in the face of all that has made America the leader of the world. This United Nations sanctioned atrocity is no more than a blatant Globalist tactic and strategy to relegate the United States to the status of yet another historic relic that held sway for a time but is now no longer relevant. If we allow the Liberals among us to win this fight by embracing LOST, then our country is indeed LOST!!

     THE END OF THE AMERICAN WORK ETHIC RANT

     Since its founding and before, the United States has been renowned as the land of opportunity where dreams, hopes, and aspirations could indeed become concrete and achievable realities.  Millions upon millions of immigrants from all over the world have proved this basic tenet down through the generations.  They came here with virtually nothing and within a relatively short time they and their progeny began moving up the economic ladder, improved their fiscal condition, and realized in their own fashion what’s been termed the “American Dream.”  The same has always been true for those who have been born in this country.  Of those, for example, who began life in the lowest quintile (the bottom 20%) only about 3% remained there permanently.  Upward mobility, a concept really not known or experienced by the vast majority of the planet’s population, became not just a reality in America but a reasonable and realistic expectation.

     Only in America could such a phrase as “workaholic” have been invented and applied to so many who took that term as a huge compliment and a source of pride.  Most of the rest of the world, by the way, thinks we’re absolutely nuts to take the concept of work so seriously.  According to them, we have simply not learned to stop and smell the roses or appreciate those “finer” things in life.  We’re in way too much of a hurry trying to accumulate that next “buck” and have over emphasized the material aspects of life at the expense of the more leisurely pursuits.  Too many accuse us of allowing our work to define who and what we are and claim that this has caused us to become overly crass, grasping, and materialistic.  We don’t know, they insist, how to be truly happy and satisfied but instead must ever strive to achieve more.  This may sound like envy or jealousy, but in some regards our critics are correct for work in many ways does indeed define us.

     It is not so much the specific job, career, or profession that define us but rather the very concept of work.  Most Americans throughout most of our history have had an absolute need to work and that includes the vast majority of folks who have accumulated sufficient wealth to enable them the luxury of sitting on their asses doing absolutely nothing should that be their choice.  As a people, however, that kind of option has been widely spurned and rejected because it is not productive and Americans have long been known for their astounding productivity.  Historically, we have been far more productive than any other nation in the industrialized, developed world.  We work longer hours and days and take far fewer vacations than our counterparts in other countries.  To work is to feel necessary and useful.  To work, regardless of the task, makes us feel important and valuable.  To work means we are active, contributing members of society rather than merely “hangers-on” or parasites living off the productive class.  To work is a main-line adrenalin boost and builds self-esteem and a positive outlook on life that can be matched by very little else.

     Work instills in us a very real and palpable sense of self-reliance, rugged individualism, and independence all of which throughout the years have become major building blocks and cornerstones of the American character and psyche.  To work means not having to depend on others for the necessities or luxuries of life however they may be defined.  To work instills a sense of pride that comes from the knowledge of being able to support and provide for loved ones without assistance from the community or the government.  To work is to be whole, to be fulfilled, to be satisfied.  To work is to be motivated to succeed and throughout the years no one has more appreciated success than Americans so long as it has been honestly and honorably earned.

     To work is to be admired by one’s peers, family, and others – especially the children who see fathers as examples to be followed and emulated.  To work means to develop habits and attitudes of reliability, punctuality, and trust.  To work means dependability, steadfastness, and even a sense of sacrifice and self-gratification delayed or denied.  To work is uplifting and builds character and instills a deep sense of morality for the concept and act of work is supremely moral.  To work fosters a sense of right and wrong and helps to keep most of us on that straight and narrow path that provides nations and societies a sense of boundaries and limits that should not be crossed.  To work helps instill a sense of honesty and integrity that carries over into the realm of family, friends, and acquaintances.  To work is to be both enabled and ennobled and to work means acting on what’s been deemed the “American Work Ethic” in order to achieve what has been famously termed the “American Dream.”

     The American Dream – now there’s a concept for you.  It’s a term we’re all familiar with and means different things to different people.  No matter how we as individuals choose to define it, the term is imbued with a sense of boundless optimism and hope for the future.  It is an overwhelmingly positive statement about what individuals can accomplish in this country and that the only real limits to success are those that are self-imposed.  It should be noted, by the way, that the idea of an American Dream is peculiarly and uniquely, well, American.  I’ve never heard of the English, Italian, or Russian dream.  I’ve never heard of a Chinese or Korean dream.  Sadly, the only images that come to mind when trying to conjure up a dream associated with Africa or the Middle East are horrific and gruesome nightmares.  No, it is a term and attitude that is uniquely American and is an essential feature of what has been correctly referred to as American Exceptionalism.

     One writer explains that the, “American Dream can be described as a belief in freedom that allows all citizens and residents of the United States of America to achieve their goals in life through hard work.  Today, in America it generally refers to the idea that one’s prosperity depends upon one’s own abilities and hard work, not on a rigid class structure.”  The author recognizes that the term does not mean exactly the same thing to all people.  He notes that for some, “it is the opportunity to achieve more prosperity than they could in their countries of origin,” while for others, “it is the opportunity for their children to grow up with an education and career opportunities.”  For still others, “it is the opportunity to be an individual without the constraints imposed by class, caste, race, or ethnicity(http://askville.amazon.com).” Others define it simply as the, “notion that the American social, economic, and political system makes success possible for every individual,” or as, “an American ideal of a happy and successful life to which all may aspire.”

     Realizing the American Dream, however, is not a given but rather involves a cost.  Simply to be born here or to travel to our shores is no guarantee.  The American dream cannot be realized unless it is tied to the concept of work.  Our streets are not and never have been paved with gold as one old myth used to claim.  Work – hard work – is and always has been the crucial element for achieving the Dream.  For those who fail or refuse to acknowledge this reality, the American Dream will remain an elusive even a mythical concept and through the centuries, Americans have come to understand that the concept of “something for nothing” produces only disappointment, failure, and bitterness.  Realizing the American Dream has always depended upon an American Work Ethic.  The Oxford Dictionary defines it as, “the principle that hard work is intrinsically virtuous or worthy of reward,” while the Collins American English Dictionary notes that it is, “a system of values In which central importance is ascribed to work, or purposeful activity, and to qualities of character believed to be promoted by work(www.collinsdictionary).”  Yet another source notes that it constitutes, “a belief in the moral benefit and importance of work and its inherent ability to strengthen character(http://dictionary.reference.com).”

     For most of our history, the concepts of the Dream to be realized by the Ethic have been the staples of our success as a nation and a people.  They have helped make this country the wealthiest, most powerful, and most generous entity the planet has ever seen.  Tragically, that America seems to be rapidly coming to an end and both the American Work Ethic and the American Dream can be properly placed on the EPA’s endangered species list if not the fabled ash heap of history.  Make no mistake, for both are near to extinction in the second decade of the 21^st Century.  The American Work Ethic has been under assault for many decades and it appears that those leading the charge can actually see their victory in sight and that prospect leaves them literally salivating.  Who are they?  Who are they that so loathe America as founded and presently constituted that they would gladly destroy it?

     “They” would be America’s Liberals who espouse the very destructive philosophy of Liberalism.  I have dubbed the leaders of this insidious movement as the LFE (Liberal Fucking Elite) and they spearhead the drive whose basic goal is to usher in the demise of the United States of America.  The modern era of Destructive Liberalism can be traced directly back to the 1960’s with LBJ’s Great Society and his bogus War on Poverty.  Every single Liberal policy and philosophy since that time has been nothing more than a frontal assault on cherished American traditions, values, and norms.  Every single program enacted by those enemies of America has been purposely designed to bring our country to its knees and to deny the fact that without the United States, the world would be in far worse shape than it is today.  Those saboteurs and their minions will never acknowledge the goodness that is America nor will they recognize that we have been throughout the years a beacon that has lit the way for countless millions of the oppressed and impoverished the world over.  To them, we represent nothing less than evil incarnate and an enemy that must be defeated and discarded to be replaced by the forces of statism, collectivism, and Socialism.

     Under Obama’s stewardship, we have seen the United States take on all of the visages of a Socialist State that provides cradle to grave everything with the recipients having to work no harder than to fill out the required government forms.  Are you hungry?  No problem.  Barry Boy and his Fellow Travelers will provide all the food stamps you require and if you’re one of the few who hasn’t heard of this program, the government runs television commercials urging as many as possible to sign up for the goodies.  Lost your job because of our evil and heartless Free Market Capitalist economic system?  Not to worry, just sign up for nearly two years of unemployment insurance.  Should that run out, SSDI is right there to pick up the slack! Don’t have a cell phone?  Go see Barry Boy and that problem is solved!  If you are deemed to be “poor”, congratulations!  We now have something like eighty federal programs, many of which are redundant, to provide the material necessities that you can’t seem to provide for yourself.  What a great country!!

     The problem with the above – and so much more – is that nowhere is the concept of working or earning what you have ever even hinted at.  When Gingrich and the rest of the Evil Republicans took over Congress back in the ‘90’s, they replaced the concept of welfare with a really radical idea called “Workfare.”  If you want the freebies, you had to prove that you were at least actively seeking employment.  Crazy, right!?  With one stroke of his “Entitlement Pen”, El Destructo destroyed that horrid concept and now once again all you have to do is stick out you hand and your demands are met.  It has been estimated that over 100,000,000 people in this country are currently on the receiving end of some form of unearned tax-payer largesse and that number is rising.

     This signals the death knell of the American Work Ethic and so too the American Dream, as historically defined.  That dream will be replaced by the utter nightmare of full-blown, unabashed Socialism which is exactly where the Liberals amongst us want our nation to go.  With the demise of our Work Ethic, so too comes the death of such uniquely American characteristics as rugged individualism, self-reliance, and an overwhelming attitude of optimism, hope for the future, and unlimited possibilities.  Because nature abhors a vacuum, these American values will be replaced by an overwhelming dependence on government for all of our wants and needs, an inability to provide for ourselves and our families, and a complete and utter lack of confidence regarding the future of the greatest nation God ever granted mankind!

     This attitude and mindset constitutes and aberrant and radical break with past traditions and values.  Since our nation’s inception, not working at some useful and productive occupation has been viewed as shameful, embarrassing, and un-American.  It was a rare occurrence and those who could or would not successfully support themselves and their families were seen as failures, losers, and free-loaders.  They could not carry their own weight and in most cases were ashamed and mortified by their inability to succeed at any level.  It was a horrifying embarrassment to have to ask for help, to beg with hat in hand.  To actually wind up in the Poor House (yes, they really did exist) was to stigmatize oneself.  To have to accept charity from the community or church was deemed shameful.  This sense of shame at receiving charity both undeserved and unearned also served as a powerful motivating force.  Folks back then did all they could as quickly as possible to better their condition for charity all those years ago was viewed as only temporary.  If someone had fallen on “hard times” the community understood and helped – for a while.  Hand-outs would be tolerated but only temporarily.  One was expected to find a job, learn a skill, start a business, or perhaps head out West where more and better opportunities might be found.  Charity was not considered permanent and anyone who didn’t understand that was viewed as anathema.

     This attitude is all but extinct in the United States today.  The concept of charity has been replaced by that of “Entitlement.”  Yes, literally tens upon tens of millions of us actually feel that they are somehow deserving or worthy of the fruits of another’s labor.  That, by the way, used to be called stealing and was against the law.  Welfare has now become so institutionalized and ingrained in our society that most Americans can’t conceive of the notion that no one deserves what they haven’t earned and this attitude grows ever more prevalent.  Depending on how we define the term, America is in its third or forth generation of welfare recipients.  Entire families from great grandma on down have known nothing but welfare and government hand-outs.  It’s become an intergenerational phenomenon and much to the nation’s detriment, it has become permanent.  Welfare recipients feel no guilt or shame anymore and to criticize them in any manner, shape, or form has been deemed the epitome of Political Incorrectness, bad taste, and a heartless insensitivity!

     A piece entitled the, “Socialist Work Ethic(http://canadafreepress.com),” relates the experience of an immigrant to America who came from a Communist country.  She, “was in awe at the long hours Americans worked, their dedication to the work place, productivity, personal responsibility for errors, much better remuneration based on merit, and pride in a job well done.”  The writer goes on to note that, “Unfortunately, things have changed in the 35 years since I arrived in the United States.  Half the population subscribes to a socialist welfare work ethic long forgotten.  Why try so hard to work when welfare, food stamps (EBT Cards), disability, out of wedlock babies, and 99 weeks of unemployment are so much more lucrative?”  She continues, “Let the other 50 percent of idiots go to work and earn distributive welfare income for the rest.  Government taxation and income redistribution are very generous.  All welfare recipients have to do is keep voting Democrat and the bonanza follows.”

     Unfortunately, the writer’s assessment of the American condition is spot-on accurate and it’s only getting worse.  Speaking of those who are habitually and chronically on the dole she posits that, “Surely they cannot believe that it is morally and socially just to steal from the labor of those who work and give it to those who prefer sloth.”  This is exactly and precisely the attitude of too many millions of present-day Americans and the Liberal Elites whom they blindly follow.  In today’s atmosphere of class envy, class warfare, and jealousy it is somehow believed that those in the productive class who have worked hard and succeeded have done so dishonestly and immorally.  They believe that somehow success has been achieved by stealing from the backs of the poor.  Does that concept even begin to make any sense at all?  The poor by definition have absolutely nothing to steal!

     The article continues, “Greece is a good example of the deliberate demise of a country caused by the depreciating work ethic.  Greece, once famous for its art, architecture, and military genius, is now famous for its social, political, and economic bankruptcy.”  This, tragically, is exactly what is happening in the United States and for those of you who can’t recognize this, it’s seriously time you removed your heads from your asses and looked around!  The article further notes that the, “socialist workers of Italy, Greece, or France are not giving up their life-long secured employment perks to adopt an American work ethic of responsibility, accountability, and decency,” but instead, “Americans are adopting by the millions the socialist work ethic.”

     Author Dr. LLeana Johnson Paugh concludes that, “The American work ethic, based on values of hard work and diligence, has enhanced the moral character of millions.  Americans with a strong work ethic are reliable, entrepreneurial, take initiative, and always pursue new skills and ventures.”  She notes, however, that, “a degradation of the moral character has resulted in a diminished work ethic.  The entitlement mentality . . . has driven more nails into the work ethic coffin, promoting the European socialist mindset and a dubious ethic, alien to our American values.  Our anemic economic recovery is a result of this mentality.”  Unfortunately, her assessment is not only accurate but is indeed prophetic.  There are people out there who are not working and have absolutely no intention of doing so.  They have stopped actively seeking employment and either will not or cannot develop the education and skills necessary to allow them to become part of an ever-dwindling productive class of citizens.  It has been estimated that something like 91,000,000 Americans are no longer part of the work force.  They no longer participate.  They have dropped out.

     This used to be unthinkable – unimaginable.  Years ago, it literally meant an inability to feed, clothe, and house yourself and those who depended upon you.  It guaranteed regular visits to the soup or bread line and homelessness or life in a shelter was virtually inevitable.  Years ago, poverty was a feared and dreaded thing to be avoided at any and all costs.  Well, not so anymore.  If you analyze the conditions of the “poor” in America, they would be envied by most of the world’s population.  Almost everyone from nations like Bangladesh, China, India, or anywhere in the so-called “third world” would love to live even nearly as well as do the poor in the United States.

     Most “poor” households in America are safe and built to code.  Indoor plumbing with working flush toilets and hot and cold safe running water are the absolute norm.  You will also notice showers and baths, dependable electricity, fully stocked refrigerators and freezers, and a working stove/oven.  Hell, most of the world’s population can’t come close to this level of affluence and luxury!  You will also see at least one and probably two late model flat screen television sets hooked into a cable or dish network system.  Computers, both desk and laptops, abound.  “Poor” folks who live in the suburbs are almost certain to have an automobile which is usually gassed up and serviceable.  Cell phones are everywhere, iPhones are ubiquitous, and full-fledged entertainment systems are more than common.  Does this sound much like traditional poverty to you?  Yeah, me either.  How is it possible for so many of tens of millions of unemployed folks to live so well?  You got it, Skippy – Liberalism.  That philosophy promotes utter and complete dependence and completely destroys the ability or desire to fend for oneself.

     An article entitled, “5 Reasons America Is In Decline(http://townhall.com),” notes that our early, “settlers and prospectors had no other choice but to work hard because they didn’t have the option of turning an exorbitant social safety net into a hammock.”  Author John Hawkins explains that the, “more government does, the less reason there is for a man to take care of himself.  When the government takes on the role of the father with welfare and food stamps, pays workers for being unemployed, pays for retirements, pays for people’s medical care, and pays for charity, a significant percentage of people see no need to continue to do these things for themselves.”  Hawkins continues that the, “more Americans turn into dependent sheep that need big daddy government to take care of them, the worse off the country is, but the better off it makes the politicians.”

     Have you noticed that dependent sheep have absolutely no work ethic whatsoever but are perfectly happy to sponge off of those who still do?  The piece concludes that, “This country is not doomed to continue to slide down the back side of the mountain, but unless we start to seriously address our weaknesses, future generations will grow up in a place where their grandparents will have to tell them what it was like when America was a great nation to call home.”  Mr. Hawkins seems to believe that our nation is not yet doomed.  I and many others, however, believe that a vanishing work ethic can mean nothing else than the destruction of the United States as historically founded and presently constituted.  Until the tide of Liberalism is turned back by those with a love of country and a mere modicum of common sense, our nation’s prospects are indeed dim.

     Unfortunately, I see very little if any evidence that Liberalism is in decline.  Many of us believed that after the 2010 mid-term elections, a light at the end of that very long tunnel was visible if one looked hard enough.  The Anointed One’s reelection a mere two years later, however, gave the lie to that bit of wishful thinking.  At his very, core Obama despises this nation and all that it stands for and is bound and determined to destroy it and turn it into something it was never intended to be – another failed Socialist state.  There is no better or effective way to do this than to destroy the concept and reality of the American Work Ethic.  A piece entitled, “Work Ethic, the Welfare State and the Income Gap(www.baconsrebellion.com),” notes that, “the erosion of the work ethic has been most acute among those raised in the multi-generational culture of poverty, e.g. a culture of welfare dependence.  Insofar as the lowest income Americans regard financial support from the government as a right and entitlement, they feel less motivated to make the sacrifices needed to acquire an education, work hard and find better jobs and make more money.”  This, folks, is key to understanding Liberalism and our current President.  It quite purposely and intentionally robs the individual of any incentives to work hard and be productive.  Once enough Americans adopt attitudes and behaviors of sloth, laziness, and turpitude the Work Ethic will come to a crashing and crushing halt, shattered beyond redemption, and our enemies will have succeeded in bringing the United States to its knees!

     A piece entitled, “B.S. Report Election Analysis:  Obama Voters Reject America’s Work Ethic and Individual Responsibility(http://thebsreport.wordpress.com),” notes that Obama and his Lemmings have succeeded in turning the United States on its head.  The article notes that the, “Founding American principles of hard work, individual responsibility, private property rights and free market economics have all been repudiated. . . .”  Additionally, “Voters signed onto Obama’s class warfare message:  a government green light to hold anyone but themselves responsible for any tough breaks that life meets out.  Obama’s government ‘self-esteem’ program encourages people to blame others for their own lack of economic success – regardless of the amount of time, effort or initiative put forth.” Obama and his allies in the LFE couldn’t be more pleased at the results of their purposely destructive plans and policies because it means that they are succeeding beyond their wildest dreams.

     The destruction of the American Work Ethic can mean nothing less than the destruction of the country and all that it stands for and represents.  Our Socialist-in-Chief and his sycophants on the Far Left have been working to that end for decades and it appears that they have finally succeeded!!

THE OBAMACORE RANT



                                                                          

No, read that title again. It doesn’t say OBAMACARE (see the OBAMACARE RATIONING RANT of 4/15/12) but rather OBAMACORE and it has nothing to do with our health or health care but rather with our nation’s educational system. It deals with what and how America’s children will be taught and what they will therefore learn. Like Obamacare, it represents a radical departure from traditional, accepted, and even cherished notions of educational process and theory in this country. It constitutes but one more example of the Destroyer-in-Chief’s threat to fundamentally transform the United States and turn it into something it was never intended to be. Just as the Affordable Care Act nationalizes-socializes the field of medicine, Obamacore does the same thing to education. If successfully implemented, this scheme will have huge negative consequences for our young people as well as for the nation. Once the central government controls what our young ‘uns can and cannot learn it effectively controls their minds. They will learn only what has been deemed worthy and acceptable to the powers that be and nothing else will be tolerated or permitted. Education will become nothing more than mind control and teaching will morph into nothing more than a blatant and obvious example of brainwashing and propaganda. Our educational system will not create or produce individuals capable of independent thought and critical analysis but rather little mind-numbed robots and automatons that exist solely to do the bidding of those powerful few at the top.



This, of course, is nothing new and certainly dates back to at least ancient times. Sparta affords an excellent example as did the now defunct Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Communist China, especially under Mao, also illustrates what happens to nations whose children are literally the property of the state. In more recent times, any country governed by Sharia Law (see the SHARIA LAW IN AMERICA RANT of 5/14/11) provides additional examples of what happens when young minds are controlled, shaped, and molded by malignant and repressive leaders and philosophies. Nazi Germany was such a place as is any two-bit, tin-horn dictatorship in present-day Africa or Latin America. Yeah sure, most folks know of these and other examples but am I suggesting that this form of state controlled and enforced mindlessness can occur right here in the United States of America? You’re damned Skippy I am! As a matter of fact, I posit that we’re much closer to this form of educational maelstrom than the vast majority of Americans would ever deem even imaginable let alone possible.



We already have our own brand of a malignant and repressive philosophy which is nothing more or less than full-blown, hard-core Far Left Liberalism. I have dubbed the leaders of this utterly destructive and malicious philosophy the LFE (Liberal Fucking Elite) and their playbook includes but is certainly not limited to such things as Saul Alinsky’s Rule Book For Radicals and Machiavelli’s The Prince. Liberalism is about nothing more than controlling all aspects of life and thought in America. Those in the movement will brook absolutely no deviancy from the party line nor will they tolerate any views that conflict with their particular brand of orthodoxy. They are far and away the least tolerant among us and they viciously attack and destroy any and all opposition. They are arrogant and condescending in the extreme and see the rest of us as merely incompetent “boobies” who must be led and controlled in everything we say and do. We “little folk” are deemed not competent, smart, or wise enough to make decisions for ourselves and our families and therefore cannot – must not- be allowed to make decisions for our nation. That must be left to them and only them. They are utterly and thoroughly absolutist and totalitarian in mind-set and are unabashed and proud statists. The rest of us are to be viewed and treated at best as semi-retarded eight year olds (apologies here to any and all actual semi-retarded eight year olds out there) who are to be neither seen nor heard. To a man and woman, they literally despise our country as historically founded and presently constituted. Led by their Socialist-in-Chief, they will do everything and anything they can to destroy America and bring it to its knees. They ardently and vociferously believe that the United States represents evil incarnate and is the cause of all the world’s ills and woes. They feel that if the United States were to fall, the planet would be a far better place.



It is those folks and their beliefs that have had virtually complete control of America’s educational system since at least the 1960’s and that stranglehold shows absolutely no signs of abating in the foreseeable future. In my experience, well over ninety-five percent of all those teaching America’s children are thoroughly committed Liberals and ardently and fervently believe in the tenets of Far Left Liberalism. I can speak with some authority here as I taught for thirty years in two very tough and violent New York City high schools. Please believe me when I say that there were very few of us Conservatives in the mix and at times it was a particularly lonely experience. We were constantly ridiculed, mocked, and lambasted for not blindly accepting and regurgitating the Liberal bilge that we daily confronted.



My Liberal “colleagues” did not feel it sufficient to merely instruct their students in course content regardless of the subject but felt obligated to infuse in their “charges” blatantly political views that portrayed the United States in only the most negative of lights. Never and I mean literally never did I hear or even hear of any of them trying to instill in their kids a sense of pride about our country but instead they focused exclusively on America’s real or imagined negatives. All of the great and unparalleled positives about this country were totally ignored or falsely refuted. Our major and permanent contributions to mankind’s betterment never saw the light of day. They did their damndest to brainwash students into literally despising their own country and to view it as the most malignant force that the planet has ever experienced.



This process begins in kindergarten and continues right through college and university. After roughly twelve to sixteen years of absorbing this Liberal anti-Americanism, the results are quite predictable. This, of course, is all part of the Grand Scheme and is being perpetrated on our nation’s youth purposely and effectively. Our young people do not leave school as educated, knowledgeable adults who are proud to be citizens of the greatest country God ever gave mankind. Instead, they are completely ignorant of our history and of our civics and have a total commitment to righting the myriad of wrongs and woes that the United States has unleashed on the world and its people. These folks leave school convinced that our country is at the very least racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Islamophobic. They are positive by the time they are let loose on the “real” world that the United States has stolen the resources of other nations thereby condemning them to perpetual and horrific poverty. They believe we have callously raped Mother Earth and would destroy her if we could. Our graduates have been taught to blindly and unthinkingly accept the myth of Anthropomorphic Global Warming and its attendant consequences (see the GLOBAL WARMING SCAM RANT of 4/2/09; the CLIMATE-GATE RANT of 12/20/09; and the COPENHAGEN CLIMATE CONFERENCE RANT of 1/24/10). They have been as easily and thoroughly brainwashed as were the young people who had the misfortune to live under Stalin or Mao during the 20th Century. To the Far Left in America, this is education as it should and must be and much to our detriment and peril these folks control virtually every aspect of education in the United States from the federal Department of Education right down to your neighborhood elementary school!



Well then, if this thing called Obamacore will have such a negative and devastating impact on education in the United States why has virtually no one ever heard about it? Until recently, I was unaware of this nefarious scheme. Have any of you out there heard of it? No, I thought not. This is a stealth tactic commonly employed by those on the Far Left because if the American people were allowed to examine their proposals and openly and honestly debate them they would be resoundingly and overwhelmingly rejected. Do you perhaps remember what that mental midget Nancy Pelosi told us about Obamacare? That’s right, she insisted that before we were allowed to find out about this attack on the world’s finest health care system we would have to pass it into law. That would be akin to buying a car based on trusting the word of the used car salesman when he claims, “Yup, she’s a runner alright!” No test drive, no research, no Blue Book, no nothing. Just put your money down and drive away. I’m sure you remember that whole Keystone Pipeline debacle. Building it would have measurably increased our nation’s energy supply and independence and most Americans heartily approved of it. Were the American people given the opportunity to openly debate its merits or faults? Were we given an opportunity to make our wishes and desires known? Of course not. Our Dictator Wannabe summarily canned the entire project because he and his fellow Liberal Elites don’t give a flying rat’s ass about what the American citizen deems important or worthwhile. Does this sound like government of, by, and for the people? Yeah, right! This is why virtually none of us has ever heard of let alone understands Obamacore?



A piece entitled, “Beware of Obama Core(www.telegram.com),” correctly posits that, “virtually no attention has been paid to President Obama’s behind-the-scenes effort to transform the system of public education,” and that is tragic, “because Obama Core is just as consequential for the country’s future as Obama Care.” Author Robert Nemeth notes that the primary purpose of this foray into nationalizing American education, “is to bring local education under federal control. That is to be accomplished through enforcing a national curriculum, bypassing parents, state and local school boards, and dictating what students will and will not learn.” You might want to read that last again. Federal Control? National Curriculum? Dictating what students will and will not learn?



Talk about a fundamental transformation of America, well I guess! Can anyone tell me exactly what some pencil-pushing beaurocrats in freaking Washington, D.C. know about the educational needs of students in your local area or state? Right, not a damned thing! Education in America has always been a local and state responsibility and was never the purview of the Federal Behemoth! For those of us who are old enough, we can actually remember when such things as American history and government were honestly and rigorously taught. It was believed all those years ago that the purpose of the American system of education was at least in part to create knowledgeable and aware citizens so that they could responsibly and prudently exercise their God-given rights. We were taught how our system of government was supposed to work and what it could and could not do to the people of this nation. We were taught about our system of Federalism which, as you may remember, is the sharing of power between the federal and state governments to ensure that one did not become overly powerful. We graduated with a working knowledge of Delegated or Enumerated powers – those given only and expressly to the federal government – such as the ability to declare war or coin money. We were instructed in the concept of Concurrent Powers – those shared by the central and state governments – like the power to tax and enforce laws. Then, of course, we received instruction on Reserved Powers – those given exclusively to the states and only the states – such as the power to establish schools!



Nowhere in our Constitution was the Federal Government granted the power to have anything whatsoever to do with educating America’s children – no fuckin’ way, no fuckin’ how!! If Obamacore is ever actually instituted it would be patently and obviously unconstitutional and therefore by definition illegal! This, of course, means not a damned thing to Obama and his Fellow Travelers. They have repeatedly vowed to fundamentally transform the United States. After all, Obamacare is utterly and thoroughly unconstitutional because it blatantly violates the Commerce Clause of our Constitution – Justice Roberts notwithstanding. By the way, the same can be said of the federal Department of Education established by that peanut farmer from Georgia back in 1979. President Carter too was a bona fide member of the Far Left in America and those guys don’t give a shit about our Constitution, our country, or its citizens. They are Hell bent on destroying this nation, our traditions, our heritage, our beliefs and all else that has made the United States both great and exceptional! As Mr. Nemeth so aptly points out that because, “federal laws explicitly prohibit the central government from directing, funding, or controlling any state and local education standard, the White House uses surrogates – commissions and foundations – as well as immense financial pressure to coerce the states to go along with the change.”



It must be pointed out that a key element of Obama’s “Common Core” is an attempt to introduce a single, unified national curriculum that all students must learn and all pedagogues must teach. Education, therefore, will become as transformative and dangerous as has America’s health and health care system. Equally important, just as Obamacare has nothing to do with the state of our health, Obamacore has nothing at all to do with education. Both represent ways to control the American citizen and force him or her to comply with the Regime’s worldview and presumptions. To control your health is to control your body. To control education is to control your mind. This “experiment” in mind-control represents a radical and distinct departure from our nation’s history, traditions, and heritage. It is but one more example of an ever expanding, growing, and intrusive centralized government into the daily lives of citizens.



Our Founders – all of them – specifically warned of the dangers of an all-consuming, omnipotent central government and they cautioned that as government becomes more and more powerful, the citizen becomes less and less free. Nationalization of public education is in fact a loss of freedom. Our nation was founded on the belief in individual choice and opportunity and that certainly set us apart from any other country in the world. Educating our youngsters was the responsibility of the family and the community not some far distant, remote bureaucracy run by government hacks whose knowledge of local needs and requirements is utterly nil. Obamacore also flies in the face of yet another long-held and cherished American tradition, that of rugged individualism. That philosophy posits that we know what is best for ourselves and families and we also know best how to obtain what we require with very little or no “help” from Washington, D.C. Ronald Reagan once famously quipped that the eleven most dangerous words in the English language are, “Hi, I’m from the government and I’m here to help you.” Far too many Americans today have ignored that warning and now turn to government as the source of all wealth and happiness. That attitude is a slap in the face to our history and traditions and will lead to the destruction of this great nation.



These and many other Founding Principles have been and are being completely decimated and destroyed by those on the Far Left and it is being done purposely and with extreme malice. These saboteurs despise everything this country stands for and represents, especially our historic emphasis placed on the individual as opposed to the state. The LFE in America are wild-eyed collectivists who insist that the individual must be subordinate to the needs of the state in order to promote some vague and vacuous concept known as, “the greater good.” Whenever you hear phrases like that being glibly tossed around, be aware that you are in the presence of a committed Socialist who can’t stand the United States of America. Perhaps one of the most odious and reprehensible departures from our heritage is that Obamacore is a perfect example of what may be correctly viewed as “top down” initiatives or directives. Throughout our history, decisions have been initiated from the bottom up. If enough citizens in a particular locale decide that certain action is required then that will be taken up by local authorities. If enough individuals in a particular state decide that something needs to be done, then the state representatives will ideally carry out the wishes of the majority. Should a majority of people in enough states agree that some action on an issue is necessary, then that issue is taken up on the national level. It is indeed a progression from the bottom up. Obamacore, Obamacare, and everything put out by El Destructo’s administration is exactly the opposite. They all come from the top down. This approach assumes that those of us way down here exist only to serve the needs and desires of those at the top because they are the fonts of all wisdom and knowledge. We peons are too wrapped up in our petty and small day-to-day requirements and are therefore incapable of seeing and understanding the so-called bigger picture. We are deemed far too petty, peevish, and boorish to correctly comprehend the needs of the nation as a whole. Only those on the Far Left, the LFE, are considered worthy of such a heavy burden.



A piece entitled, “Obamacore: Government Schools(http://junkscience.com),” notes that El Jefe is overhauling America’s educational system without any input, advice, or participation from Congress which is to say that he is completely ignoring – once again – the will of the American people. Well, hey, why not? After all, it’s only the children of American citizens that will be effected by old Barry Boy’s scheme to socialize education in America. The parents of the kids at risk don’t need to be heard, do they? This represents but one more typical example of Liberal arrogance and condescension. They know what is best for us and only they know what we need. We are required only to heed and unquestioningly obey the edicts handed down from on high.



Any input by we “lesser” types is viewed as merely unwarranted meddling into areas in which we have no legitimate business or concern. You know, like something as unimportant as our childrens’ education! The piece goes on to note that there, “is little or no research showing that these measures lead to better educated children or higher graduation rates,” and that, “none of the top-performing countries against which the United States is frequently compared – in an unflattering light – use any of the techniques advocated by Obama.” If this is indeed the case, then why does he advocate the complete overhaul of our entire educational system? We must remember that Obamacore has absolutely nothing to do with improving the nation’s educational system but everything to do with bringing the United States down. It is about controlling the minds of young Americans and teaching them to loathe and despise their own country and its history. This is a certain path to national destruction and constitutes Liberalism’s top priority.



The article points out that, “President Obama’s bid to control what your children learn in school is surely one of the most important and disturbing of his many transformative plans,” and that not, “only is Obama’s attempt to devise what is in effect a national k-12 school curriculum arguably unconstitutional and illegal, the fact that most Americans have no idea that the new ‘Common Core’ (a.k.a. Obamacore) even exists may be the most troubling thing about it.” Yes, of course that is troubling in the extreme but it is quintessential Liberalism because, as always, secrecy and stealth constitute standard operating procedures for our LFE. Even more significantly, the piece correctly recognizes that the, “potential for political abuse in a curriculum heavy with political documents and news articles should be obvious. Given the politics of most teachers, the new non-fiction requirements create a huge opening for leftist indoctrination.”



This last point is critical. America’s destruction will not come from some powerful, external enemy but rather from within and it won’t be accomplished by foreigners with accents different from our own. We will be brought down by other Americans who have been taught to loathe and despise their own country. If Obamacore is successfully implemented, this process will become a national priority to be instituted at the highest level and will infect every single school in America and every single student. We are already getting dangerously close to the precipice and if Obamacore becomes the reality and then the norm, we will have plunged over the edge. One writer notes, for example, that there, “is a dark progressive cloud looming over the Alabama horizon. It comes in the form of a push by the Obama administration to take over the American education system. National common core standards is the means to accomplish this goal. Out with traditional learning and in with leftist indoctrination on steroids.”



Additionally, a group called the Alabama Federation of Republican Women, “detailed the plan to remove parental authority over school curriculum. A cleverly disguised attempt to indoctrinate our children.” The article correctly posits that, “Obama and his leftist lackeys are still scheming to fundamentally change our nation by grooming American children . . . using nameless, faceless bureaucrats who are unelected, unanswerable, and unaccountable to the American voters to seize control of education. . . . His low standards will include alternative lifestyles, criticism of capitalism, praise for unions, redistribution of wealth benefits, radical environmentalism, and a combination of the denigration of Christianity and acceptance of all other religions. Parents and local school boards will have no say whatsoever.” If Americans are not vigilant, Obamacore will become a reality even though most citizens have never heard of it and would reject it if given the opportunity. As with Obamacare, however, we simply will not be given that chance for our Socialist-in-Chief has a habit of governing against the will of the people.



Schools should and must be completely apolitical if any real education or learning is to actually take place. There is simply no room for politics in a classroom for any reason especially in an environment where there is a young, impressionable, and captive audience. Most of our young ‘uns still respect authority figures – despite what you see and hear in the mainstream media – and are still eager to please most of the time. Their minds and opinions are still not wholly formed and developed and are open to pretty much anything they are told or taught. When some Liberal “teacher”, as the vast majority of them are, goes on a rant about how horrible the United States is in any and all imaginable aspects, the young folks trapped in the classroom sit there and soak it in, especially in the younger most impressionable grades. These kids tend to believe what they hear especially from a trusted adult and most will not question the “wisdom” thrown at them from the man or woman in front of the class. They’ll accept it as gospel from on high.

Teachers have no right to politicize the educational process and, in fact, have a duty not to do so but that certainly doesn’t stop them. Most of the Liberals I had the misfortune to spend so much time with seemed especially proud of the fact that they never missed an opportunity to denigrate every single aspect of American life and history. They made no attempt whatsoever to simply teach the subject matter – and most of them had yet to master said matter – but gleefully extolled the virtues of Democratic candidates and the Democratic Party. They also told outrageous lies and falsehoods about those they deemed political enemies. The students sat there and absorbed it all. This applied to all subjects at any grade level and this is the approved pedagogical method underlying Obamacore. In my humble opinion, teachers who engage in this form of brainwashing should be immediately fired and have their pensions revoked – but hey, that’s just me!



A piece entitled, “Like Obamacare, Obama Core Is Another Power Grab(http://townhall.com),” points out that it’s, “well known that public schools are not graduating students as well-educated as before, that Americans score poorly on international tests, and that billions of federal dollars showered on public schools have not achieved any of the designated roles which were to raise test scores and to eliminate the gap between higher income and lower income students.” The writer correctly notes that, “Obama progressives want us to believe that the remedy is to turn over control to the federal government.” This, of course, is standard Liberal fare because they feel that only the federal government can act on any and all issues and that the people simply don’t matter and don’t need to be heard from at all. Remember, according to Liberalism we are here to do what we are told and nothing more. Any input from us is simply not needed, not wanted, and will not be tolerated. This view, “fits right in with Obama’s attitude that there is no higher power than the federal government.” Turning our educational system over to those in Washington, D.C. will serve only to make an already failing system even worse and that is precisely what the Liberals desire and intend.



In fact, the “essence of Obama Core is control of curriculum because that is where minds are molded and stimulated to higher levels of learning and character is formed,” and that, “Obama Core is a comprehensive plan to dumb down school children so they will be obedient servants of the government and . . . to indoctrinate them to accept the leftwing view of America and its history.” This is exactly the point of all education in this country according to Obama and his allies in the LFE. Education is merely a tool to be used by Liberals to cement their position and power and to transform this nation into exactly the antithesis of its founding. It has been Liberalism’s overwhelming desire and fondest wish to bring America down and Obamacore is but one more nail in the coffin!



Not only does Obamacore violate the letter and spirit of America’s founding and Constitution, it literally shreds the all-important 10th Amendment. While only a very small percentage of the American population can intelligently and reasonably discuss the Bill of Rights – which is in itself a searing indictment of our entire educational system – no one I have ever met has even the faintest notion of that crucially important amendment. Very briefly, it stipulates that any powers not specifically delegated or given to the federal government automatically revert to the states and the people. In other words, the federal government shall NEVER have any more power than it was granted by our Founders. Those folks understood only to well that the nature of government and of those who govern is to acquire more and more power at the expense of individual freedom and liberty. Obamacore simply trashes that crucial principle and completely violates the concept of a strictly limited federal government.



This is not merely opinion but is instead an immutable, indisputable fact and is well recognized by those whose business it is to study our Constitution. The Federal Government simply has no business, right, or power to meddle or interfere with America’s educational system. It is Constitutionally prohibited. An article entitled, “Six Reasons Why Conservatives (Should) Object To The Common Core(http://caffeinatedthoughts.com),” explains that the, “Constitutional argument is pretty clear. Education is not listed in the enumerated powers of Congress found in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. The 10th Amendment then clearly states that ‘the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.’” This is absolutely clear, obvious, and not open to interpretation. The Federal Government does not have and was not given any power whatsoever to involve itself in the education of our young people.



Do Obama and his Liberal Mob give even one lousy Tinker’s Damn if their actions violate our Constitution? Of course not, so long as those actions promote their Liberal agenda of doing all they can to pervert and destroy the United States. They know that most Americans have given up fiercely and jealously safeguarding our precious rights and freedoms and that those few who still do constitute so small a minority that all they can do is make noise but cannot initiate effective corrective steps and measures. Ever since FDR’s New Deal started us down the road to Socialism, Americans have become comfortable with an ever expanding and intrusive Federal Government and feel it is normal and proper. Not surprisingly, this attitude has been fostered and promoted in our schools for at least the last half century and Obamacore – the complete Federal takeover of our nation’s school systems – is only the logical and expected culmination of that movement.



The same piece also notes that Obamacore not only violates our Constitution but laws of a lesser nature as well. For example, have you ever heard of something called the General Education Provisions Act? Neither had I. Author Shane Vander Hart explains that the law stipulates that no, “provision of any applicable program shall be construed to authorize any department, agency, officer, or employee of the United States to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system, or over the selection of library resources, textbooks, or other printed or published instructional materials by any educational institution or school system, or to require the assignment or transportation of students or teachers to overcome racial imbalance.” Get the message? The Federal Government is by law forbidden to interfere in any manner, shape, or form with any and all aspects of educating children in the United States! Well, Obamacore just violates the SHIT out of this law and the Socialists among us know it but don’t give a rat’s ass in Hell! Aparently, the American people don’t either.



The same article also points out yet one more especially disturbing aspect of this thing called Obamacore. It is absolutely Orwellian in nature and reminds us that Big Brother is indeed watching over us but is certainly not watching out for us. You’ve perhaps heard of the term “data mining” with all of the publicity of the recent NSA and IRS scandals that have so violated the rights of Americans who our Great Leader does not approve of. I, for example, am a member of the NRA and a group known as the Tea Party Patriots and I have the distinct impression that I’m definitely getting looked at by our oh-so benign Federal Government. No doubt that’s just my raging paranoia rearing its ugly head again and maybe I’d better seek professional help. What the Hell has data mining got to do with Obamacore, you might ask? Well, I’ll tell ya. It appears that the, “U.S. Department of Education is investigating how public schools can collect information on non-cognitive student attributes, after granting itself the power to share student data across agencies without parents’ knowledge.” Can we say “spying?”



Furthermore, the “feds want to use schools to catalogue attributes, dispositions, social skills, attitudes, and intrapersonal resources, independent of intellectual ability . . . all under the guise of education.” Basically, the author correctly maintains that our right to privacy will be nonexistent under the benign auspices of Obamacore, but not to worry. Our government would never use its vast power to harm individual Americans and violate their rights and freedoms. Would it? But wait, there’s more and it’s equally disturbing. The article explains that, “the data the Feds want to collect goes beyond the classroom.” Now there’s a real shocker for you. The piece maintains that, “the department is also funding and maintaining databases that could expand each kid’s academic records into a comprehensive personal record, including health-care history, disciplinary record, family income range, family voting status, and religious affiliation.” Indeed, under “agreements every state signed to get 2009 stimulus funds, they must share students’ academic data with the federal government.” How’s Obamacore look to you now? Are you still feeling all that hope and change the Anointed One promised? What’s next – The Gulag for Noncompliance?



A piece entitled, “Common Core Curriculum: A Look Behind The Curtain Of Hidden Language(www.christianpost.com),” also notes the extremely intrusive nature of Obamacore and recognizes that it is a complete invasion of not only a student’s privacy but that of the family as well. While most of us are fully aware that virtually all of us are on more data bases than we can possibly imagine, when something as ominous and distant as the Federal Government is targeting our school kids and collecting data that seemingly has nothing even remotely to do with education maybe it’s time we all developed a healthy and protective sense of paranoia! The piece maintains that, “Common Core amasses large amounts of personal information about students,” and explains that, “Common Core’s data mining includes using cameras to judge facial expressions, an electric seat that judges posture, a pressure-sensitive computer mouse and a biometric wrap on kids’ wrists.” Facial expressions? Electric seats? Biometric wraps? Does this sound like education to you? I didn’t think so either.



Throughout the millennia, education has always served one essential purpose: to prepare the younger generations to become responsible, productive adults who will contribute positively to the community and the country. One day it is the young ‘uns who will steer the ship of state and either continue our voyage of excellence or cause it to run aground on the rocks of destruction. Education has never been used to create citizens who instead of thinking for themselves exist only to serve the needs of those bent on destroying individual rights, freedom, and privacy. Not until now that is. Yet another piece entitled, “Lawmakers and Activists Rally to Stop Obama-Backed Common Core(www.thenewamerican.com),” explains that the, “Obama administration circumvented Congress to avoid privacy protections in U.S. law and is using more federal bribes to coerce state governments into collecting vast amounts of private, sensitive information on students and parents.” This in no way sounds like the America I grew up in but rather more resembles that of a completely authoritarian or totalitarian state in which the rights and freedoms of citizens count for absolutely nothing.



Obamacore constitutes yet one more Liberal attack on the United States, its history, and its traditions. The LFE in America want to use our educational system solely as a means to indoctrinate our children. They are to be used merely as pawns in their cynical and very purposeful attempt to bring America to its knees and to destroy the entire concept of American Exceptionalism. If Obamacore is ever fully implemented – which I believe is inevitable – our country is in fact doomed. We will have become but one more example of a great nation that has simply passed out of existence. It’s coming folks!
